**SOLD** I am selling my Zero Gravity Double Bubble Dark Smoke windscreen from my firebolt. I am thinking $50 plus shipping, obo. I will have pictures up of it tonight. For now, here are the pictures of it on the bike. It is in excellent used condition. (Message edited by randomchaos on June 23, 2008) |

Giving you a bump, have a smoked windscreen on black and the black on black looks awesome. Also wondering how that rotor cord works. Have seen them around, seems like you could just gently pull it off the handlebar. |

The cord is just a reminder cable, so I dont forget the disc lock is on there. It stays on the handlebar really well, would have to be deliberately pulled off. |

If I didn't just buy a black replacement windscreen I'd be all over this Looks nice. How does it help with the wind in a normal riding postion. (Message edited by whitey04 on June 16, 2008) |

It moved the air up to around my shoulders/chin. It gave a good bit of turbulant air on my helmet, causing my head to be like a bobblehead doll at anything over 70mph. Im about 6 foot tall, and have the Heli top tripple, so if I was a little shorter it probably wouldnt have been so bad. It did work well though when tucked. I could get my head completely out of the wind. The stock windscreen just works better for me when it comes to long distance riding. |

Oh. Thought the cord was some type of sensor that alarmed when the handlebars were moved or something. Didn't realize the helibars changed your riding position, is it lower or higher? Your input on those? Always liked the look and tempted to buy them on a few different occasions. |

I bought the bike with them on it. If I remember, it moves the controls 1 1/2 inch back and 1 inch up. From sitting on stock bikes at the dealership, vs my bike, I can tell that it puts more weight off my arms, and more on my butt. Its a bit more comfortable. Combine that with the 1 inch lower S pegs that I have on it as well, and I have a fairly comfy ride for my 6 foot tall frame. |
