Unfortunately, you're a victim of the high Canadian dollar. The prices have been coming down substantially on the new ones which ultimately has an impact on the resale value of used ones. The other factor that's not helping is the extended warranty. I'm sure you paid good money for it but it doesn't add a whole lot to the resale value. Plus, it's winter which isn't the greatest time to be selling a bike. I don't think parting it out will net you as much as selling it as a complete unit. I would try to wait until the spring and advertise in The Trader. JMO

His price is very good.....but only in Canada, we pay about 10% more than the sell for US which means our resale is higher....in Canada.

Going to pick up the same bike with less K next week in NJ with a friend. He is paying $5200 A. It costs 200 to cross the border plus fuel to and from, so he is looking at around 56 or so before tax. Right now it makes all the sense in the world to go south for a bike. I would hold off for spring if you can and see what the dollar does, it couldn't possibly get any worse.
Perhaps you should just keep it!

Well said, Carbide.

Bad time of year to be selling any bike in the Northern Hemisphere.

Hows Buell with the documentation? I was looking when I was in Oregon and some dealers told me they were not allowed to sell new bikes to us.

You aslo need a letter of recall, some manafactures are making it expensive for those letters.

It's just hard to sell a Buell. Only a few of us know how good these bikes are. Most seem to be more interested in HD T-shirts and chrome toys instead of really riding a bike.

=====

And boy is it NICE! : D

I paid $6100 for it in Jun (used from original owner, eBay) and put a couple thouand FUN-filled miles on her since then. After doing some research on what the bikes are going for, I was sad to see that the high depreciation rate... : (

I only hope i can get a used Uly real cheap, now. ;)

I was shocked to see how low this beauty went for a couple weeks ago:

It seems to be the only way to sell a Buell. You have to almost give it away!!!

The problem you have is not brand specific. Trying to sell any vehicle in Canada in the dead of winter, and with everyone going south with the strong dollar just does not make sense. Don't blame the brand for your bad timing.
Just wait until spring to sell, I'm sure you will have better luck.
