Paul:

In a story fit for Buell history, your baby has been delivered.

As always seems to be the case in the world of Buell, it's not just "A" story, it's an INCREDIBLE story.

Please note:

They NEVER hold anything for ANYBODY. You bring the cash, you take the axe.

You know why they did....it was sitting on his desk from 8 months ago.

It poured rain in NYC and I found a PARKING PLACE right in front.

10 minutes before I walked in, while I was sitting in the truck waiting for the rain to let up, a British Celebrity walked in, heard they had one and made a "price is not an object" offer.

He stood his ground, we had a deal....at least until sunset.

The deal is done, the baby is home and the story (trust me for now) gets BETTER from here.

By the way....

CONGRATULATIONS

He allowed me to take a "I never allow my picture to be taken" pic with him. I'll not post out of respect. The guy is truly a legend and you MUST meet him when in the USA.

By the way, that was us ringing you in the wee hours.

P.S. - potty training starts the minute I get home.

In America we have a CRIME called "aleination of affection". . . you are guilty!

My kid, in the "play the damn thing, it's a Strat..would you NOT ride a Buell?" camp is screaming on the phone.

Vickie, representing the "you so much as lift it out of the case, I'm ratting you out" camp, represents the other end of the continuum of domestic wrath what started as a good deed has resulted in.

If you decide you want to buy a Testorossa and need someone to babysit......call someone else. Well, call me first, but....well you know.....oh heck, I'll do it!

For the record I am not touching this baby. But, I am looking close and I must say it would be fitting to hang the guitar on one wall and the case on the other. Details of the case to follow.

gorgeous ax -- in my own case, however, it would simply make me feel bad that my playing wasn't up to it's high standards . . .. . .

yeah, right, like that would stop me

Court -- you are displaying an unlookedfor degree of self control -- congratulations -- we're all very proud of you!

Yeah, right. I predict that, within a week, we'll see pictures of Jack the Dog glued to that guitar case...

Court,
Over there on the piano, what is that with the picture of the guitar on it? CD or sheet music? Looks interesting.

And by the way, you're busted, if you're not touching the guitar how'd you get pics of it's backside, eh?
But somehow I don't think Paul will mind if you play a tune or two with it. Gotta make sure all the parts and gear work on it, right?

And is this going to be picked up in person? If so please post pics of the presentation, and if at all possible a soundtrack.

Good stuff, good stuff indeed.

ps, I went to the shops web site. Very dangerous place they have there. Good thing my budget stops before the first comma, found things there I wanted that approached the second comma. ; ) Neat shop. Good folks always are.

I deny that!

MikeJ, as usual, your keen eye catches me....look CLOSLEY at the side of the NYC bus in the picture below.

One of my favorite writers a Buell fanatic transposed from KS to NYC does tabletop crudola fro the oddest photos capturing the "human condition and it's odd enviroment".

That particular photo was from the time I spilt my coffee when I turned and saw a 20' long (my dream axe) Gibson ES-335 next to me.

I shot shot some wide stuff but tried to get in close on this one. The key was to leave Juuuuuuuuuuust enought to let folks like you discerne the window of Bloomindale's above and the seam in the sheet metal of the bus below.

A mind that thinks sees.

I dress them up, add the test and POOF. . . can you say littered house?

My personal favorites (not allowed in public spaces in the house) are of Graffiti in the Bronx, Architural in Willamsburg and doors in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

I know, I know....but it's saved me a fortune on perspecriptions.

Paul will be here to collect the guitar.

"Jack the Dog glued to that guitar case..." is that Dog or Dawg.
Funny I got up at 4:45 this mornning to watch a Documentary called the Grateful Dawg. Vick hide the glue pot.

You are correct Mike "I don't think Paul will mind if you play a tune or two with it." But scratch it and thats another story.

Looking forward to returning to NYC it's been 3 years since last there and have some wonderful memories of it prior to the depature on the evening of 9/10/01

Since you obviously have come down on the side of my detractors, let me tell you what I told them and that skinny soft shoed turtle necked fellow they sent me to..."teaching me to dance is like teaching a yellow lab to chase a tennis ball".

Technically, yes. . . I was expelled from the YMCA Sunday night dance classes. But, not for any lack of talent. I think I transmitted when I should have been receiving.

For the record "yipeekiyayyyy....glide, M....F...gilde" is an accepted expression in any dance hall where I come from.

I consider an ugly chapter in my life and have chosen to drop the charges.
