Three folks coming over tonight to prepare the house . . but my wife has already started . . when you live in a haunted house . . Halloween is a big deal.

I like the misty shots above best. Whats up with this shot? Was the block to keep people from stealing the tree? Or the tree to keep people from steeling the block? I'm confused!

I agree on the mist . . . those were shot on the way to work, I drive that same route everyday and each and everyday it's fabulously different. I deviate, just slight, from the "main road" and take the road through Tallman State Park. It's amazing. These were my favorites . . . I liked the mist and I liked the vertical component in the tall tress shot. Headed that way on a quick hurry up mission . . . some idiot left his wife's iPad he borrowed on a construction site and is going to try to get it before she discovers it missing.

That area looks like a little slice of heaven. For some reason, I am always surprised at all the trees on the East Coast which is most likely a sign of living out West a bit too long. I am really enjoying your "wandering" Court. Give me a ring when you want to discuss the relocation of your items. Frank |

Wow, I had no idea New York was so beautiful. I guess when I think of New York I think of the Bronx. |

>>> I guess when I think of New York I think of the Bronx. Common misconception . . . like "I'll get mugged in Times Square". I was the same way when I moved here. The Bronx, named after a river that was named after Jonas Bronck (hence the "The" in The Bronx) . . . . has some of New York City's nicest areas. It's also the location of the famed Bronx Zoo and New York Botanical Gardens.

That stuff is what I miss the most about where I used to live in the Catskills. Not missing that white cold stuff that falls from the sky, though. Penny's in the kitchen with a couple of her students - Pumpkin (from scratch) and Pecan pie class in progress. Not that you'd have any interest in THAT. Al |

The fall pictures are absolutely stunning. I miss the autumns and springs back there - you've captured it so well that I can smell the leaves, hear the streams, feel the crisp air... Thanks for sharing, Court!! Joanne |

Dude- It's almost 8 O'clock and your pie is sitting on the table, waiting. What - was the plane delayed over in Dallas or something? You'd better make it by tonite or tomorrow, or the neighbors will get it! I'm off of pecans or I'd handle it myself. Al |

Just in case anyone was worried, Mr. Canfield made it by the homestead earlier this evening and picked up his pie. Showed us a few shots of the granddaughter (cutest baby, ever!) and we had a nice, but due to his schedule, short visit. We forced him to eat some of our 'display' pies from Penny's Farmer's Market booth. He put up an awful fight, but eventually gave in and indulged. He waddled out the door, smiling. Film at 11. Al For those wondering what the 'pie' thing's all about - you can get additional info at www.pennyspies.com |

The pie . . the Pecan, the Pumpkin aaaaaaand the Apple were all spectacular. You don't make pie that good on mere talent . . that takes love and passion. Penny isn't a baker she's an artist. Better than the pie was the chance to visit with Penny and Al even if only for a bit . . . it's been way too long since I've seen them and it was fabulous. Fortunately I'm going to be in their neighborhood a lot going forward and can't wait to get the chance to see them again. It was GREAT! |

Hahahaha . . you have a good point! I rode 6 hours in the center seat on the way and was glad to get off the plane in LA. I'm going to be doing quite a bit of back and forth . . I may need to slim to "flighting weight".
