Sean, Might some of the other candidates for the "five" include a Ducati 1098, or a BMW R1200S? |

Blake, those crossed my mind, but they'd need to be seen as (close to) production bikes to have any beneficial promotional value to their respective manufacturers wouldn't they? Maybe that would be good for BMW. Ducati I'd imagine would enter only if they could be competitive. At this early stage in 1098 life - to win the Senior? As for privateer entries on these same machines, I can't see why the Governing body would give them any preference. The Buell I could, for many great reasons. Not least of all because a Buell has never raced at the TT. I'd love to see that Buell race The Island, and get a bloody good result. I need it so to recharge my Buell enthusiasm. Rocket |

The bike is being collected today from my place en route to the IOM. This project is still alive and you have not heard the end of it yet |

Hopefully the bike will still be raced on the Island this year. There are plans afoot that I can't go into and to be honest don't know the full extent of, but the project is not dead in the water just yet I waved a tearful goodbye to the bike early this morning |

Is it possible to run the buell in another class rather than the senior race? |

No, it only gets in the Senior because that race has an "other interesting bikes" rule. |

A let down perhaps but the amount of enthusiasm the mere possibility the of a Buell entry garnered on the Isle of Man forum was nothing short of spectacular. Anybody willing to join me in taking a wild guess that these folks have not heard the last of Buell Racing. I got to make the acquaintance of some neat folks over the past 3 weeks and I can't wait to attend my first TT, meet Kevin (and Jackie ) and see Buells racing. Court |

Hi Gang, I had a very long meeting with the Secretary of the Meeting on tuesday of this week and i still have had no word from my appeal so im still hopefull for now as they say no news is good news. As to weather the Bike will be raced any where else this year or even by me is all down to Peter Astell-Burt i would love to be given the chance to race it at the Steampacket meeting or maybe even the Southern 100 here on the Island. Id just like to thank everyone on this site for your ongoing support all the best Irish Ago.......P.S. I have had to appeal all my rides as they turned down the Triumph in the Supersport Race aswell My T Shirts are now available on my site again thank you one and all..... |

A little bit of good news for once. A new sponsor came onboard this week and im now racing in the Pre TT Classic Races down south of the Island on the Billown circuit . He,s letting me race his 1965 Mk1 250cc Ducati he dropped the bike off to me today theirs a photo of it on my website, ill also race it at the Southern 100 in July and the 250cc Classic Manx Grand Prix over the TT Mountain Circuit in september. So a big thank you to Fred Marshall of Sheffield England for the loan of his Bike and his ongoing support all the best Irish Ago..... |

Hi Gang the local national news paper are doing an artical on the attempts by my team to have the first ever Buell entry in the TT Races and are asking the organisers why it was turned down and on what grounds. They are also looking into why both my entry,s were declined. Im still awating the outcome of my appeal and when you think about it, its only 4 weeks and 4 day,s to TT 2007 thank you one and all for your ongoing support all the best Irish Ago... |

It sucks that someone who's raced and obviously supported the TT for as many years as you have, gets turned down for the 100th. Presumably to accommodate the more attractive names who want to come to the party but otherwise wouldn't bother if it were not such a huge corporate event this year. Good luck wherever you race mate. I have been fancying Skerries for a couple or three years. I like the grass roots racing at nigh on 200mph, and the marshal blowing a whistle to warn spectators to lift there legs of the road as there's a racer coming. Did I mention the pre race piss up on Friday night? Rocket |

Kevin managed 24th out of 36 who finished. A handful did not finish. He was eighth out the second group so that is very good. Congrats Kevin! |

Well just back from the NW200 in the North of Ireland where i raced in the 125/400 Race i managed to qualify in 27th place. I finished in 24th place over all and 16th in the 400cc class i was well happy with this not having raced this bike before. I think with a little more time i could have gone a lt better. The Bike was quicker than i was on the day but i had a cracking race...... |
