I am pleased (and terrified!) to announce that Liberty Buell/Thou Shalt Not Whine Racing will be partnering with Keith Delk to compete in the Grand Sport Twins class of the Moto-ST series! I have another thread started to track our overall racing progress too:

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/171 43/258733.html?1171675243

Keith & Anthony Caligiuri will be the primary riders, with me & "Big Daddy" Keith Delk as the crew. We will also have the most welcome addition of Rich Young to the crew to aid in getting us to the podium this season. Rich took a break from the dealer network to do some really cool custom work for the past few years. But Rich is back with us, and his indispensable knowledge of engines will be invaluable, as he was also our race technician way back when we were running in the Buell Lightening Series.

Daytona is going to be a testing ground for us, as we're relatively new to the endurance aspect of racing. But we've received some great help from James Gang Racing, and offers from Rich Conrath of Innovative Motorcycle Research for additional assistance if needed. Thanks to all who are helping us with this new undertaking. Our goal is to follow the series and have a really good showing at Road America for the Buell Homecoming.

Let's see what happens next...

I would like to welcome dave watson and iron valley harley-davidson to our race team. Two years ago dave and I were involved in a very bad crash in turn ten at Summit Point, and Dave was seriously injured. Dave has taken a year off from racing and is now going to be teaming up with us for the Moto-ST race at daytona. We believe we have a strong team with keith, dave and my self riding, we wish the best of luck to all the buell teams at this race. good luck to all from liberty hd-buell

HOT DAMN!!

Good to hear about Dave, every time I looked at those pics, I wondered how he was doing..

As for the rest.. Get plenty of sleep.. Hydrate.. Pace yourselves.. One of the endurance guys I've shot was telling me that while he's not the fastest guy on the track.. he's the most consistent. Remember, it's a Loooooonnnnnnnnnggggggg race .. and you don't want to run it like a sprint or you'll burn both yourself and the bike up .. Instead, find a good pace and settle in.. last endurance I covered, the winners actually started out .5 seconds down from the leader, but since they didn't loose time like the the guys who shot their wad early, so to speak. Remember, they like it best when you go long, strong and hard.. so uh.. Get out there now and..

KICK ASS!!

Keith, as much as I'd love to be there, heck, I'd tuck the hat away and crew for ya if need be.. But I'm stuck in this regular job thing until such time as someone pays me a salary to take pictures. I can only hope to hear GREAT things from ya! And wait to see ya at another event.

Oh, I do plan on attending both VIR's and a bunch of the Summitt events, now that I'm listed by CCS it's the least I can do.. (yeah, they linked to my site from theirs)..

Our bike is on the moto-st website from practice! I'm embarrassed to say I can't quite make out which rider it is, although I *think* it's Anthony. I'm sure they'll correct me when they get back. They should be just starting now - so everyone send them mental cheers, or at least go have beer for them! Our bike is lucky number 62!

It's a long race ahead of them - I'll post something when I hear something!
