I had a great day today. Ran 201 this morning!!! The salt conditions weren't great and I was only able to run 189 on my return, for a 195 record. The bike has a ton of potential. The 201 was the first run with the fairing, so it was really just a shake down run. Getting the HP hooked and to the ground is a challenge.

Jeff is here with a big S&S presence, many race bikes from team using S&S products keep us V-Twin fans impressed. George Smith, son of the founder of the company. Dan Kinsley, who went 240+/- back in the day is here, with the record breaking bike on display, a record still not broken. And, you know, Jeff is a darn nice guy. |

Ummm, training wheels??? Really? Sorry, couldn't resist... I really need to get back out there, it is quite an experience even for a spectator. Even cooler if you are helping out. |

Torque is easier than traction, huh? Nice run. If you want my McCaw lowers to adapt in and change the flat bottom, just ask. My new favorite Buell, that S2. Next time it's 200+ naked and 215+ faired, okay? |

Jeff, that was AWESOME! So much neat stuff going on in that clip. It sounded like you could have pulled a bit taller gearing... The harmonics acting on the windshield and fairing were interesting. So was the salt spray in front of the camera at the end of the run. The run back sure takes longer than the run down eh? Seems like it takes forever for the chase crew to get there... Cool stuff, thanks for sharing. Brad |

That is Steve Huff with the XBRR, fuel gremlins kept him in the 169 area. |

Jim Higgins and Aussie friends are headed back out to the salt for two events. I was at his house today and they were all a wrenching! |

FMJ did a drive by diagnosis for a guy in the 1350 APG class, backing up my question about carb size & jetting. 48 Miki didn't belong on it. Yes, the pit with Jim, Craig Watters & his Mrs., and the others, is a must stop and visit on the salt. Arrive late in the day when the beer is cold. |

And perhaps only the Ack Attack running on two wheels, but they may not run at all depending on the salt conditions. |

Christine and I ran the 650 cc Blast again set two new very low records. Both she and our pit guy Max Cline ran 123 and 118 on the rev limiter stuck in 4th gear. Thursday afternoon at the end of the meet, we worked out a deal to get Jason Omar's Sodium Distortion APS 1000cc bike without the XB9 motor, He had set two new records at 160+, Back home Monday we again had a rolling chassis using my Revolution Performance 1250 Kitted engine and an XBRR swing arm. Looking forward to building a special short stroke 1340 Formula Extreme motor weighing in somewhere north of 140 RWHP for next year. I started in APS-PF. Ran 197.7 bogging bad. Came back this morning and ran 203.4 on the rev limiter. 200.57 record!!!! No 2 club though due to their high minimums. We have changed to the PG class to go after Rivas' 201 record from speedweek. Got rained out tonight when we were close to running. That's ok, the wind should be better tomorrow. |

Thanks Jeff. I hear it might be a late start today after the rain yesterday. Certainly that bike has what it takes. |

Christine got a face Book Post from Jimmy last night, so it looks like and the boys and girls from "Down Under" at the "World of Speed set some 200 MPH records. Jimmy went 200 and some low change for a new record, Kim also set a new record when she went over 200 MPH, but the mind blower was Greg running a 256 MPH and setting a new record. And that was only the second day, not too sure what they are doing after those were put into the books. Terry - www.jtsperformance.com |

Greg did some nice numbers last year at the Shootout after sorting tire issues. I'll see if I can find them. Over two fifty is hauling the mail. |
