Forgive the dual post, but it's worth repeating:

Hearts of Lions, backs of steel. This is how I describe the CrotchRocket.tv AMA volunteers. Brice, Ray, Dean, Rick, Steve, Sunny, Terry, Jim, Christine, Mike and others whom I met or saw in the pits but who's names by aging brain can't remember. I think the entire NorCal Buell gang must have pitched in at one point or another. You all are simply the best of the best. This is one case where the parts are greater that the whole, and the whole is huge.
My pockets are empty, but my heart and soul are full, so I came out ahead. Thank you all. You are a gift.
Several racers came up to Shawn to tell him how amazing it is for us to still be showing up. Dave McGrath, head of AMA Racing, came up to me and thanked me for what we are doing "on both a professional and personal level" I was stunned.
I especially want to thank Erik, who came to our rescue in our darkest hour, and who rallied his troops to our cause. I only hope that we can do him justice.
Then there is Shawn, who has much more to offer as a rider than we have been able to provide him, but he hangs in there with us.
There is something here that is bigger than racing. I don't know what to call it, but it is alive and hungry and wants to grow. I simply must figure out how to keep feeding it. I bears the sweetest of fruit.

We learned a ton. Shawn and I spent a lot of time today (Monday) going over the weekend. We feel that we were on the right track with the setup changes, but still have a lot to do.
In the second race, Shawn was starting to get confidence in the setup and was starting to move up in the pack. With the new found rear end traction, he was finally able to start driving the bike hard out tof the turns. So much so that he spun the wheel in the tire which threw the balance off and led to a bad vibration, so he had to ease up (the price for enormous torque). Toward the end of the race the wheel spun again, reclaiming some of the balance and he started to speed up again, but it was too late. EBR has a plan for solving the wheel spin issue, which we will impliment asap.
I have a lot more to talk about, but I'm fried from driving home. So more later.

^^^^^^^^
What he said. Not everyone, at least me anyway, has the means or opportunity to do what you are doing. And, as a result, are living vicariously through you. Keep living the dream and doing what you are doing....those of us that can't be there to help, are with you in spirit!!
