man if you have any questions give me a shout, I dont know everything as I have got a lot of advice as well. I have been in contact with alot of great people with alot of knowledge about drag and buell. I worked for harley for 11 years and recently moved on to better things lol. I have alot of money tied into my baby, JTP Performance and Revolution helped with setting up motor correct. I do all my own work. I am looking at breaking into the 9s with out a wheelie bar.

Hey Lucas, What did you use to lower the rear on the bike in the top photo? I always hear about strapping the front. I want to try lowering the rear a little.

Jbolt that bike has a strut from Pingel on it. It came with the wheelie bar setup however on my last bike I didn't run a wheelie bar but had a strut. Call pingel and Buy just the strut for a xb9r not expensive like 50 dollars or so

JBolt- see my post about lowering and re-valving. I will be seeing approx. a 2 1/2 inch drop in the rear.

I'm in Louisiana and I plan on racing few ahdra events. Don't know if I'll make all events but what I can. It's more a hobby for me and my dad will be running the stocker with wheelie bar. So that will be a little father son time together as well. Like I said it's more a hobby and I'm not one of those that wants to be all secret about what or how I done things so any questions ask.

Yes actually that's my local track will be there every week after the bike is done. I live about a hour away and been there several times before on my last Buell I drag raced. If you need a place to stay you are more then welcome. I placed second place at the hurricane alley race unfortunately not on my Buell. They usually have 2-3 good motorcycle only races a year but every weekend they have bracket racing Friday and saturday nights and test and tune on Wednesday. Also have 1-2 nhra events there.

Very nice bikes.

The ram air is sweet. I have yet to find the parts readily available to do the same.

The MT ET Drag, how has that worked for you? I am strongly considering getting away from a round tire and going with a flat tire to gain some more contact patch.

Unless Goodyear has stepped up, the Mickey is the best slick...a slick does more than get better grip...it is part of the chassis dynamics package...get one...break it in properly, learn to read it, and go faster....

and go faster....

Words we love to hear!

I have multiple sets of MT's here for my car and I don't have a bad thing to say about them.

agreed on the ram-air! seems it's just the fairing piece that we would need pre-made. I'm thinking the tubing and airbox fittings could be fabbed at home.

yes the ram air is really simple what I like about it still keeps all the speedo in place where that can be used. The air box just has 2inch pvc pipe plastic welded i guess you call it. the tubes I will get some nice silicon hoses but when I bought it they send out 2 inch dryer duct hose. The stock windshield is cut out and the nose piece is custom made out carbon fiber. Ill take a better picture of just the nose piece.

The MT slick is great worth spending the money on it. I also know Bruce he races AHDRA, well let me know say races he wins just about all events LOL he uses a MT as well.

It may be 2 1/2 but I can tell u it's not 3. Its Been a while since I pulled a measurement since I've been concentrating on the extended swingarm and clip on handlebars.

i run the m/t slick on two xb drag bikes and it works really well but it also works a lot different then the round street tire and takes sometime to get the set-up down

Lucas, what's up. I live down in the bayou myself I'm in galliano. I was at no problem raceway Saturday night, I was talked into running my R and managed a 11.2 stock except for k&n intake and Keda design RT-2 exhaust. I have been bit by drag and would like to go back more prepared, I was the only buell there. It was all busa and zx-14. They got onto me because I broke 120 and didn't have Leather pants. Maybe we get up sometime over there, could use an experienced person to start up.

That MT 7" tire is pretty good...I have seen bikes run 6.90 (unlimited nitrous imports) on that tire...I have been low 8's on one...damn good tire...needs a bit more air pressure than you would run in a goodyear...don't need much of a burn out either...I was getting 80-85 passes on my E.T. bike (throttle stopped to 8.60's)

John what's up man. It's Lucas I did the financing for you on your bike at the Harley shop. I actually had the dirt bike you sold the salesman, this is more my hobby. Glad to see you still riding but I'm not at harley anymore. Once Buell left I left also. Lol. I'm now a machinist at Weatherford.

As we speak I'm waiting on ups to deliver my aluminum for my swingarm. Guy is waiting to build it for me. The wheel base will be 68 which is about 15 over a chain swingarm. Once that's done, the custom made oil lines and ceramic bearings and it's ready to run

On the bike with the wheeliebar. That one is almost done. Since the pictures we bought a full fairing and beson exhaust. Only thing left to wire up is the air shifter waiting on bottle mounts and co2 conversion to come in.

This would have been hell of alot quicker if I wouldn't have got engaged a year ago and getting married in 2 months.

I was wondering when I was gonna run across ya on here. Yeah, i defenitely want to get into it.the bike came up on me when I left the line, so a swingarm is in the bikes future. Just don't know where to start, not too many carriers of drag parts for the R that I can find. When ya heading back to belle rose?

well you on the lucky end, I know Erik Buell Racing a few months back talked about drag parts, and they do have a few guys on here that run a 1125.

I know theres a few that broke into the 9s I just dont know much about the 1125 since Im more a XB guy

Not sure, I know for sure once my 2 bikes or done. Once the wheelie bar bike is done we may go ride and make a few passes. May be doning that sooner then later.I love going over there but trying not to go without a bike. I am on the verge of wanting a turbo gxsr1000. I know if I go without my bike I will be running a friends 1000. I am trying to hold out about a year cause Im looking at getting a race trailer about 18-20 long before I buy me that bike.
