So I just switched over to a Jardine can for my XB9. I had the belly pan set up for the race muffler. I picked up the Jardine without the chin mounts and am now thinking about how to mount it. Lucky got all winter to think about it…could be a good thing here in Wisconsin hahaha. I was thinking about some standoffs from current mounts and / or straps. Any one have any ideas…pictures would be GREAT. Many thanks in advance!!! Jason | ||

If I remember to take my camera to the shop, I'll take some pics of mine tomorrow. I did have to do some simple fabrication but even without a lathe to make a spacer, it's pretty simple. Better to send 3 photos (mounts in 3 places) than try to explain in a gazillion words. | ||

These are from the "shop camera" and its flash sucks. Hope the pics make sense but when you'r shooting with a $20 camera, it gets kinda iffy. We had to make a stand-off bushing for the cam locker bolt that we used to mount one of the straps. For the most part, these are all just steel straps with holes on the ends that are bent to fit. Made the washers on the lathe actually. Not worth the trouble - I was just bored, and had scrap aluminum and a few minutes time. I think you can get similar hardware in the nuts-and-bolts section at Lowes. | ||

I've searched all my local hardware haunts and they don't have anything even close. Ducati has a similar washer but it's eight bucks, Triumph has one too also $$$. Tasty Nuts in the UK has then in a variety of colors the price is right but postage to the US is deadly. Just thought you may have stumbled into an affordable source, thanks! | ||

Washers are easy to make. Get a hole saw bit the diameter of the washer you want, cut into a sheet of the material you want. Now pull the washer out of the hole saw. Buff it up with a little fine sandpaper and you got your washer. |
