I missed something here. What do you send to Oklahoma and should I be insulted. Please keep in mind that us Okies don't have roof to heave them their bricks through. Weird but neat cars. Wonder how it does in Battletrax with that suspension geometry they have. I didn't know they had 2 cylinders. Is this what it looks like, the upper one? | ||

Yes that's it the black one with white fenders. For some reason people name thme Dolly pretty regularly. Mine is Madaline. Thank's for the link on the manual. It handles rather well actually, the trick with the thing is to not slow down as 35 hp will not move 1300 pounds along very fast. Dave | ||

As it happens, those 2CV's are popular amateur level race cars in the UK. Some of those things have way way over the top motors in them. Seriously, I'm talking trick with a big T !!!! Even got their own race series, but I think that's in Ireland he he !! Now to jump back on topic ! Aside from the motley crew already assembled here in Colorado, there are more arrivals. Debbie and Bob, from some tropical forest, have arrived with their friend Mike. Best bit is, they're all riding new Triumph Triples. Have they seen the light or what !!!! As we speak, Fireman J' and some other beer monsters have just popped out to the store to get more beer. You'd not believe how much ale has been supped at the Wilson's these past few days. Oh yeah, not to mention the food we've eaten too ! Still, there's plenty left and plenty more where it came from. Paul's got $$$$$$$$ in the kitty and this promises to be one heck of a barbie. Perhaps more so because I'm told there's a 'special' guest arriving. Anyways, today some of the guys, Aaron, Grizz, Henrik, Paul and Pete, went into Denver to collect their hired steeds. Grizz got himself a Triumph Tiger, Henrik and Pete each chose those butt ugly BMW GS things, and Paul bravely settled for a Ducati 900 Monster, which numbed his arse something wicked , he was later to find out. Once back at the ranch, bikes and people ready, we all took off up to the Rocky Mountain National Park. If I'm not mistaken, we went through Glen Haven and Estees Park via Big Thompson. We had lunch at Estees Park, and rather nice it was, and served by a most attractive babe who's phone number I forget now. After lunch we headed on up Trail Ridge Road. Aaron played scout on his S2T, and sensibly, the pace was kept 'down'. It had to be because some of the guys are riding hired bikes, and others riding loaners from High Country HD. Oh yeah, a big up to Justin from HCHD for that little gesture-oony. The rest of us (that's me), borrowed Susan's trusty old S1, my favourite Buell of course, and a big up to her too. Thank you Susan. Anyways, as I said, a sensible pace. So up the mountains we went, which was cool, and I mean cool, because the road had been closed several times recently due to snow, which we saw plenty of on the peaks spanning the horizon. We stopped several times on route for picture shoots and that tourist stuff I think they call 'sight seeing'. Strange behavior for a bunch of Hooligan Bikers (well at least some of us are hooligans  )I'm sure there's gonna be some pics posted soon, so watch this space, especially if you like the SACBORG 'bird'. You'll all be pleased to here that we made it back to the Wilson's Ranch without any incidents, and there's a paddock full of tasty looking mo'cycles right outside the door, ready and waiting for another days riding. So, lots of us settled here at 'Wilson Mansions'for another night. Paul and Grizz both preparing yet another splendid dish, no kidding I mean splendid, and they're singing 'what shall we do with a drunken sailor', although I'm not certain whether it's the Dutch or Australian version, or a mix of both. Either way I need to get outta here quick before my ear drums burst. It sounds like someone strangled a couple of cats. You wanna know more ? Then get you're butts up here and be a part of this rather uniquely flavoured gathering of Buell riders, and friends, from every corner of the bleedin' globe..............ya hear ? And Court baby, for this post you better deliver, or you'll be castigated to the 'HALL OF SHAME' Rocket, who never sleeps these days! | ||

Well some of us may not be able to get our sorry butts out to Colorado, but we are working on gathering our own set of Hooligans to go tear up the backyard of Buell. Yes we have one thing over you. We get to meet at the "Mecca"...... Where it all starts for all of us modern day Buell riders, the Buell Factory. So as much as I want to do Trail Ridge Road with all of you Elves and Elveettes and see that beutiful state again..... Naaa Naaaa NaNaNa. If we feel up to it maybe we'll leave a few smileys in the parking lot. (or maybe not if we want to continue using the factory as a meeting place) Jerry | ||

Josh Andrews and his friend Dave arrived here late yesterday. They spent the night in a motel, and they are here again this morning, as is Debbie, Bob and Mike. Aarons S2 battery died yesterday, literally as we pulled into the 'pit lane' after yesterdays fine riding. As I write, he's filling a new battery with acid, by which time we'll be 'good to go' once it's on the S2. The weather is great down here in the valley, although I'm not sure about up in the 'hills', but you know we're a hardy bunch of Buellers. Ideal conditions await the days riding and as far as I'm aware, someone does know where we'll be going, even if I don't. Anyways, I'll report back here later providing I can stay awake of course Rocket still awake ! | ||

 Team Elves invades the metropolis of Glen Haven, CO (hey, they have one of the twistiest roads in the state leading to this town, and a corkscrew that makes Laguna's look like Bonneville}  The Dutch contingent got a kick out of the name of one of Colorado's mountain towns. It always surprises me how many places in Europe are named after things in the US. Some were apparently even named before we had those places, they must be psychic!  Peter rented a GS, much like the one he owns, so he was a happy camper. | ||

 Up in Rocky Mountain National Park. The road goes over 12,000 feet.  Another stop in the Park  We did a short ride this afternoon to Pinewood lake, just maybe 10 miles or so from my house, up a very twisty road. | ||
