hey guys and gals, I've asked around in other threads(C3, court in session) and have come up with what I was afraid of. I'm looking to install hero blue translucid bodywork onto my Uly but can't seem to figure out how to change the flyscreen mounting to mount the cityx piece on the Uly. if anyone has seen this done let me know. I want to do it so I can use the blue flyscreen. if I can't find a good example soon I'm gonna start disassembling parts and looking at pictures until I come up with different bracketry to mount the new screen in a tasteful manner (although desperate times call for desperate measures......duct tape and zip ties perhaps?). Any insight is appreciated. -Garrett |

The Uly and CityX have completely different consoles. A CityX screen some how rigged on the Uly wouldnt fit right and probably be down right ugly. You would need to swap with a CityX for it to look good. |

so what you're saying is I would probably have to change the gauge pod, and everything related to get the correct look? I thought that might be the case since the city has only the small flyscreen and they Uly has the large gray Plastic the houses the horn and stuff behind the flyscreen. Looks like I'll opt for the '08 blue bodywork or stay like I am but right now I can't see doing all the possible modification involved with only 2500 miles on the bike and possibly void any warranty that would be associated. thanks |

hold on, get the tanslucent hero blue covers for the air box and windscreen. order the blue ULY windscreen cover. Use the hero blue windscreen as a replacement for the clear windshield that bolds to the uly. You will have a much easier time fabing a mounting bracket to bridge that gap than removing and replacing the ULy facia. |

or get the blue ceebaileys uly windshield and cut it down to your liking. Again not sure about the blues matching up. but it will be a lightly translucent blue... http://www.ceebaileys.com/buell/ulyssesws2.html |

I'd just go with a black flyscreen. I bet it would look great with the blue airbox cover. Powder coat the wheels black too, and you'll be in business. |

Sanchez- I thought about that but I'm thinking about using the hero blue anodized wheels. |
