What is the BAS for? I tipped my 06 Uly over on it's side the other day and it kept running. Is it supposed to die or keep running on it's side. It did start to run like shit for a while after. An oil issue I suspect.

Thanks

Andrejs2112,

The BAS is supposed to kill the engine when the bike is on it's side.

Try replacing it.

Mine works great .........

Unfortunately it's usually at 80 mph and full upright when it works best.

To it's credit, it hasn't had any problems in several thousand miles -- since I bought a new BAS as a backup.
