New review on motorcycle.com. I love my Uly. This bike is great value though....should sell well. Anyway, I thought I'd share with you fellow enthusiasts... |

The '08s are cool no doubt. However, I would not buy a new KLR when a good low-mileage, late-model used one can be had for $3k anywhere in the country all day, every day. If you can stomach the miles, you can get one with 10-15k miles for far less than $3k. Those bikes hold value like my 3 year-old holds his water. Just sayin. |

Having owned a couple KLR's and KLX's and having read Glen's truly unbiased review on KLR650.net, I would say the '08 is a great value. I would also say it is worth buying over any pre-'08 because of the changes they made and how dated the previous models were. They only added about $300 to the MSRP at that. Still one of the greatest bang-for-the-buck bikes out. I could never return to the KLR after buying my Uly though. My next bike will be strictly dirt and hopefully 2-stroke. |

I don't disagree. KLRs are tanks and probably the best value in all of motorcycling. I just wonder if improvements for that particular type of bike are really worth the extra $$ when that same $$ will just go to depreciation in the first year. It's like renting the new features. If you wait a year or two, you'll be able to get a lightly used '08 for $3-4k. I wonder if that is why Kawasaki was so slow in changing it. I'm in the market for a dirt bike too. I'm completely torn between 2 and 4 stroke. |

Lowflyer, Kawasaki has a track record of really running out models. Case in point, the Concours, EX250 and EX 500, KDX... They are all good bikes, they are solid sellers, the tooling has been paid for so they are basically pure profit. |

Kawasaki has a track record of really running out models No kidding. I went by the Kawasaki display at the IMS, and it was like going back in time. I swear Maverick was tooling around on one of the bikes at the show.

The Concours is gone, to be replaced by the new Concours 14. The Vulcan 750 is gone. The KLR650 has the '08 replacement. The EX500 has the 650 Ninja big brother now. That's the old Kawasaki way. Maverick coming in short of the flight deck -- bye Mav. |

You should have seen all the Kawi guys riding around town in their "flight" suits and "bomber" jackets during 1987. I was glad to be on a Honda and not blend in. Had I known about Buell. I would have been there instead, but I was just a punk kid. |

I saw one in person toady, and while it is a nice improvement over last years model, it is not even in the same league as the Uly. It is like comparing a volkswagen rabbit to the top of the line audi, even though they are the same manufacturer and do the same thing, go from point A to B, the similarity ends there |
