Anyone have any suggestions on hand grips on a Uly? I used to have the traction grips on my S3 and I would like to find somewhat the same style/type for my Uly. Thanks.

I believe the traction grips are still available. I like the BMW sport grips myself, and find them way more comfortable than the standard Uly grips.

I have the traction grips and they are great with normal gloves. I find them uncomfortable with puffy winter gloves. You will have to cut the end out to use them on the Uly and retain the handguards.

I love the Traction grips. As a bonus, the right grip is already glued to a throttle tube. Makes installation even easier.

I have large hands and the OEM grips are way too small. Do the traction grips have a larger diameter? Does anyone have a bar weight on to take some of the vibration out? How about heated grips?

The traction grips are much larger and also have the more comfortable barrel shape. I have long skinny hands and find them perfect in size with summer gloves and even a tad thick with winter gloves. HVMP bar weights take the vibes out of the grips, but not the mirrors. The Polly in bar heaters work great, but do take a little while to heat out to the end once I installed the HVMP bar weights.

Where did you find the traction grips and HVMP bar weights?

Agree with Pso on the BMW F650 grips-got a pair from the local BMW dealer last week for £2 ($1?) 'cos they weren't listed in their stock index so they didn't officially exist and couldn't issue a reciept (bill).V comfy-I did a 300 mile round trip at the w/end to Nottingham(UK).

Took 30ish mins. to fit with a bit of modification to remove the plastic insert from the throttle side and pad out the bar ends with old bicycle inner tube to stop the grips spinning on the bar.

The reason I went with these was because the previous owner had fitted old Brit-bike type grips which bulged massively in the middle (similar to Buell Traction grips I think but more pronounced bulge) due to arthritis problems with his hands(Due I expect to riding Hardleys -alright,maybe old age had a part to play but couldn't resist the chance for a dig).

There was nothing wrong with them but with thick winter gloves my hand got jolted off the bar one time when I went over a large rut in the road which started me thinking it was time to go back to the Jap-bike dia. of grip i was used to.
