Getting ready to take my bike in for the 1,000 mile. Just in time. Noticed that I am getting oil dripping down the side case from somewhere up high. Got on the ground and with a flashlight you can see oil up high on the engine fins on the rear cylinder, I suspect a cylinder head leak. |

check the rear cylinder breather grommet on top of the valve covers. had a couple of drops there, it went away. |

Could one of the breather lines popped out at one end or the other? Or could you actually have one of the first XB series engines to loose a rocker box gasket? No school like the old school baby! |

Both my rocker box gaskets are leaking on my Uly. 17000 miles on it now. Mike Long Island, NY 06 XB12X Black of course |

Take your air box cover off, check that both breather hoses are sticking up through the air cleaner base. |

Well, you choose an excellent time for the 1000 mile service. I wouldn't do anything but take it in. |
