Internet is expensive in downtown KL, we're staying at the Swiss Inn in Chinatown, 165 ringits as opposed to the 100 that Lonely Planet quoted, it's on a street that is the Malay equivalant of Khao San Road in Bangkok! Still having trouble with Customs, nothing get's done quickly here! |

The ride up to the Highlands is a beauty, then from Penang to Thailand through a National Park, did some side trips in to parks etc, some dirt, some rough bitumen (dirt in places) some highways, all good. Would test a Harley but the Buell's flying through, passing everyone! As Mr Buell said "a big, tall adventure bike"! Certainly attracting attention here! |

Haven't been there since 1973-1974 and I bet things have changed. I wish I was there to enjoy one of the most beautiful places in the world under better circumstances. Cannot wait to see the pictures!!!!!!

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of reports but the internet options here have been poor or non-existent, will catch up, we are now in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand, over 3000 kms, no problems, even with mixed fuel quality! Leaving for laos on the 26th as we will celebrate Christmas with a break! Happy Christmas and New Years to all! |

Sorry, internet terrible! Got sideswiped by a tour minibus while going up the mountain out of Luang Prabang, ended up in a ditch!, I've got some grazes and either bruised or broken a rib or two, hard to breath and get out of bed, limiting my rock climbing! Nat's good but sore with a couple of grazes and sore neck, we've got down to Pakse in the South of Laos, all going well. The Uly's got a few battle scars and a broken windscreen (I took it out with my shoulder), everything stood up well in the bingle, the HB bags saved us a lot of damage as they took most of the impact, better than the van! Nearly 5000 ks so far on dodgy roads and fuel and haven't needed a spanner yet! Mind you the CeeBailey has a fair bit of tape holding it together now, it snapped half way down as I pushed it forward, plenty there to tape it on, just limits us to 120kmh now, probably not a bad thing! Hopefully in Cambodia on the 4th! Cheers to you all Chris and Nat! |

We've travelled through Cambodia, now in the south, just got the Uly washed for US$1, 5 weeks of dirt, what a bargain! We're going well, the only other damage I can find is the handlebars, the left one is about 2" back from where it was, what a bike!!! |
