I have been searching for something a little taller for the Uly. I looks like ATV bars are the way to go as they are taller than std motorcycle bars. But I just can't find anything as tall as the factory bars. I have the low buck riser that we talked about, but I am looking for a little more sweep as well.

Any ideas?

No responses huh? Did you find anything? I feel exactly as you. I only have a single riser, but I would like a little more sweep back. Now that I have the '07 seat pretty well broken in, I feel that if I sit all the way back, I have too far to reach to the bars and I have some seriously long monkey arms. If I rotate my bars any, it puts my controls in awkward places because of the locating pins. Let me know if you figured anything out.

I ordered a set of bars from rockymountianatv that are alloy, a little taller and with slightly more pullback. I think with the risers we installed this should work pretty good. They should be here this week, so I'll let ya know. They were the tallest ATV bars listed by any manufacturer, so if they don't work, aaah dunno whats next!

Please let me know which brand and model they are and some pics of them compared to stock if possible. Huge thanks for that info.

Jm,

The bars came in last night. They look to be just like the stockers-only wider with more pullback.

They are ProTaper SE ATV hi. #211000

I will take a better look tonight.

While attempting to install the bars this weekend past, I realized that they are actually lower than the stockers, so I left the stockers on for now. They do have a little more pull back than the stockers, but not enough to make me switch.

I called Rox performance FX and was lucky enough to speak to the owner (Rocky). It seems he has the need for a Uly in his life, and is interested in making a riser that will fit on it as well.

He is shipping a set of his 2" risers today for free to try out.

Our concern is the angled mounting boss that the Uly (Buell) uses. I have agreed to try them and take a few pics of the fitment, so he can decide what manufacturing changes are in order.

I think it is pretty cool that he expressed such an interest in the Uly.

I will let everyone interested how it goes, as I can't possibly be the only gringo that would like the bars up and back.

I got the Rox risers last night and installed them this morning.

Took about an hour total time, and the clamp for the front brake line had to be removed.

The seating position with the risers installed is now perfect for me. It feels just like my XR650 only wider and much more comfortable.

And yes Dragon Slayer you are correct, it is now wheelie city!

Wow....The Rox Risers are really neat. Wish the hell I knew about them when I owned my X1.

Now that I know they are available, the decision concerning whether to buy a XR1200 or a XBSTT is becoming cloudy again.

The Rox Risers put the ergo's out of the picture, my decision will be based on pure style. Quite simply, I like to see more engine that the XB frame allows.

rox risers on Uly

Here is a shot of the standard Rox Riser on the Uly.

The Uly specific riser should be available January 07.

The Uly specific riser should be dark gray and more robust for more penetration in the stock clamp.
