i RODE AROUND TOWN ALL MORNING TRYING TO FIND A FAST WAY OR MOOSE RACING FOOT PEGS IN STOCK... no luck.. Little did I realize the solution was in my hand the whole time.. ..
I kept rubbing my thumb over the asphalt scratched peg i just replaced.... First I sharpened an old punch and sat down with a small ballpeen hammer turned the radio and to a fast tune and went to town... little did i know that trip to town was longer than i thought... then my ADD kicked in and i spied the engraving tool ( included in many dremel kits) and went to work...set on it's rudest setting 5.. it creates a neat little stippled pattern on the knubs... i gues you can crosshatch whit a triangle file too or scrape a cinder block across em for a few min... any way you do it save you fifty bucks or more (enough to buy a couple saddle bag latches ) .. hope this helps

That seems like a great idea. I suppose you would'nt want to take too much material off as I understand the cast pegs are'nt all that strong to begin with. I look forward to the pics.

Looks like a combination of acne pitting and peanut butter cookies! Great work! I need to find a Drimmel and I will follow suit.

Thanks for the pics. I was born without an imagination.

Sorry.

I think I have protection under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Theloftus - HOLY CRAP!!! What a difference! You *are* the man. You get extra bonus points for creativity.

And it's FREEEEEE.

My son gave me an engraver *years* ago and it has been unused in the original package...until today. I was (kinda) waiting on the Touratech pegs and very afraid of the American Sport Bike pegs. This mod is just right.

Hail the power of BadWeb!
