At tonight's local bike night a bunch of us were sampling each other's rides. The last ride of the night on my friends X-1 was ok( made me glad I bought a uly!) I put the kickstand down, got off the bike and started to talk about the ride when...."oh shit!" Bike rolls off the stand. Broke the mirror, clutch lever and bent the toe lever on the shifter. The guy was bummed as he just got the bike. I gave him the mirror off my Uly, straighten the shifter and told him how bad I felt. I'll pay for the lever and new grips also. Don't now if I want to spend the money to replace my mirror of try something different ( not too spendy). I want something with a lower stem and different shape. Any ideas and/or pics? Lesson learned. Quit swapping bikes. tim |

NUTS - I had those on my M2. They work great, clearer than the stock lollipops at cruising speed. |

I like to see what's behind me -- the full view. Al, www.americansportbike.com, has a set of Napoleons in route to my house. I've never had a bike with the barkbusters so I won't miss them. G2 |

Thank guys, I tried a 3rd Eye bicycle mirror on the right side (too cheap to pay another $11 for the 2nd one if it didn't work). I mounted it just like Nutsosane's pic. I looks great but I can't see clearly at highway speeds. I'll leave it on for lane changing for now. I still have the stock lollie pop on the left and it works well. I'd just like to find something with good optics that is a little lower (no bar end mirrors though). Has anyone used any of the custom chrome arlen ness style oval mirrors on a buell? I had them on My Harleys and they looked and worked pretty good. Oh well, I have assymetrical mirrors for now. I'll take my time. Tim |
