A screen GPS like unit that takes on everything. Tach, speedo, gear, gps, engine trouble codes, continuous mpg, head temp, oil temp, tells when the head temp unit takes over the fuel injection, graphs that show the engine temp vs time ramp-up as you ride, be able to adjust he fuel injection just like a power commander. Only a few of these things on the screen but touch screen or buttons to bring up more info that you want to see. What else?? You tell me. And I'm talking this would be standard equipment with the ULY. Or maybe, some would be just optional software that you could purchase as a flash drive that you would just plug in to down load more features. This would really put the ULY on the map so to speak.

Eglide, those all in one units are nice.

BUT, they're pricey. I'd be afraid of too many potential problems, especially since I don't plan to hold the Uly back. I'm gonna let 'er run on those potholed roads.

With the current setup I can toss an inexpensive Garmin V on the bars and if something goes awry it's no big deal.

Just a thought, but I think those all in one units are more suitable for cars or aircraft.

I'd just like a gear indicator light!

I'd like a fuel gauge. Is that asking too much?

Hi Chad, Geez, I dunno. I have learned not to trust fuel gauges. I feel they are of marginal value.

I prefer to rely on the trip meters (especially the trick Uly meter that resets and tracks from the moment the low fuel light comes on!). I think, within a short amount of time I will develop a good feel for just how many miles I can get after I hit the trip meter. Of course mileage varies with riding style, but we all know how to get better mileage if we need to stretch it a bit.

I'm sitting here thinking and I can't even recall if there's a petcock..? Now I'm gonna hafta look.

Yeah, I saw the 38.7 thread. But that's for his bike, his riding style.

I'm sure our bikes will vary somewhat in that regard.

how 'bout avg speed per trip, highest speed per trip. LCD speedo and analog tach.

I've went total 191 miles with 22 miles on the low fuel light and put 4.1 gal. in.

- GPS will give you that data

How hard would it be to show what the engine trouble code is. Lights don't cut it when computers are everyday gizmos. Counting light flashes is very difficult. I can't do it.

Lots of folks use bicycle computers to give average speed, top speed, etc. Small, light, and cheap.
