Here are some early pics of our project THOR (Trojan Horse Off Road) Uly Supermoto. Just to buck what seems to be the current thinking on the Uly, we have gone for lower bars (Universal Solex 28mm Taper) and slightly higher pegs (not yet fitted) for a more aggressive riding position. Tail end has been removed, and I couldn't believe the weight of that piece! We'll shortly have the new pipe in place and hopefully the carbon body parts will follow pretty quick as it needs to be ready for the bike show in Birmingham late October

So are you going to offer conversion kits to make the Uly into a supermoto type bike? Or is this just a one off project? |

Why the negative subject title "Uly Be Sorry"? It had a ring to it, and it could still go horribly wrong yet So are you going to offer conversion kits to make the Uly into a supermoto type bike? Or is this just a one off project? Yes, everything used is either already available or will be available when the bike is finished. |

Okay. I'm no marketing whiz and I did NOT stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night but I think you'll get more interest if you change the topic title to SUPERMOTO ULY! Regards, Jim in Santa Barbara |

Trojan like the idea..change subject SUPER.ULY.MOTO.. any plans to give us like a airbox cover that could maybe have some space for 2 liters more petrol(fuel) |

No plans for bigger fuel tanks I'm afraid, but plenty more goodies in the pipeline... |

Here a few more pics of progress (?) on the THOR project, if progress is the right word. Seems that the pile of parts left over is rapidly becoming bigger than the parts left on the bike! Rear subframe is away for powder coating and bodywork for painting. Maybe it's just me, but I found that when rotating the engine on this model it seemed to descend further than previous models giving better access to the rear exhaust studs. I don't think it is because of the increased ride height as there was always plenty of room below the motor on the other XB models. Either way it was a nice surprise The exhaust stub that you can see is the rear part of the Micron system. The front part is at an engineering shop having a bash plate manufactured. Exhaust servo motor has been removed entirely and one of the 'exhaust valve emulators' fitted in it's place so that the engine warning light doesn't illuninate. Airbox will feature our Ultimate airbox conversion when finished. We have had to fabricate a new battery tray and seat lock mounting to fit with the XB12SS saddle and undertray, and hopefully we'll have all that fitted this week. Watch this space
