After many searches coming up empty. Anyone have a copy/link for the 2009 XT owners manual? I'm picking up one in the next few days and it'd be nice to have. |

Fellas, This service manual is apparently too big to email 101 MB. What I'll do it put it in my Dropbox and send you guys a download link. The email will come from sugarmcguinn@msn.com - (so you know it isn't spam) I'll get it done today! (Message edited by sugarmcguinn@msn.com on July 23, 2014) |

The service manual is a copyrighted product still for sale from Harley Davidson. Please don't use badweatherbikers.com to openly facilitate the illegal trading of unauthorized copies of a copyrighted manual. |

Reepicheep, I meant no disrespect or thievery... Given that I downloaded it here, and the owners manuals (still available from HD) are openly posted for download, I didn't see the harm. I was just being neighborly. Also, these are digital versions of the manual (not scans), I don't believe these ARE available for sale from HD |

So they were stolen then The owners manuals had electronic copies freely available on the Buell website, so we are just reposting them after Harley removed most of the website. I do need to get working on getting other owners manual links working again though. |

Again, I meant no disrespect or thievery. My point, Froggy, was that you cannot buy the digital version currently from HD. It makes no matter, I rescinded the offer. |

You don't have to rescind any offers, just don't openly use this site to facilitate it. And no apology needed, the rules aren't very obvious, so we just police these things as they come up. Like Froggy says, if it was freely distributed, and from my perspective, if one came free with the purchase of the bike (like the owners manual), then freely share. But if it was a separately purchased item, and never freely shared, then don't share it here out in the open. Obviously, given the way HD treated Buell, and before that the way HD treated Buell owners, there are lots of us here that wouldn't pee on HD if they were on fire. So I don't really care if people choose to share the service manual or not, just don't do it here in a way that this site can be declared to be facilitating copyright infringement. There are a lot of stupid laws around that sort of thing that do little to control real piracy, but that can be major headaches for our website. |

The only service manual Buell ever produced electronically was the 1996 S1 Lightning. Hahahaha . . . and look what I found digging about . . . boy was this a doozy . .

Ha Ha! Cort, You are mistaken. Unless that was a joke I'm too dense to get... <grin> |

He means for public consumption. Dealers have access to electronic copies to all the books, which is where the one you obtained came from. The S1 service manual was the only publicly available one. |

Ha Ha!! Froggy, Then your assertion that it (the 2009 digital version) was stolen is absolutely true. I swear I got it here on the Badweb |
