Keep the old, covet the new. Look @ purchasing an AX in about 3-4 years time. |

Sounds like I'll need a round of B-B-B(Bonfire-burgers-beer) and a quart of clear stuff to figure it out. I'm thinking they would need to bring a truck load of sample bikes to revive Marchbadness and Buelltoberfest. A good party goes a long way on making a decision like this. Gentlemen.....show me the AX! |

Nope, I own better bikes and no longer appreciate the flaws of the XB as character but instead as flaws. |

I only rode like 4k miles combined on everything last year, and I will be moving soon likely to a place where I can't bring 5+ bikes, so that may indeed happen. |

03 Blast, 06 Lightning/Uly, 08 XT, 08 1125R, 09 1125CR, and I seriously have everything minus a rear shock and front fairing to build a 04 Firebolt, which has been a project I never got around to doing. |

Personally, I never buy any vehicle during the first year of that model, bikes or cars. No matter how much engineering goes into it, the buyers will always find things that should have been done differently. Some of these are simple changes that will be done on consecutive model years. I will probably just keep my XT until my daughters get out of college. Froggy, I hope you get the first one off the assembly line! |

I bought a "first year" 2013 automobile and have put 38,580 miles on it in 15 months. Best car I've ever owned. I'm looking forward to the new EBR products ..,. But no plans to loose the Ulysses. |

Because nobody wants overpriced garbage Or They weren't riding the right type of Harley and now they upgraded to a Real Bike

Says the person with a first year 08XT. Court, what do I need to do to get AX #1 and have it be blue and have every option? |

Harleys are far from garbage, and "better" depends upon the criteria one chooses as most important. Don't let personal preference masquerade as if it is some kind of objective measure. Doing so diminishes credibility. |

Says the person with a first year 08XT. : ) Okay Froggy, ya got me on that one. I never really thought of it that way though as I knew they had been building the X for 2 years before the XT came along. I'll be honest though, I was not aware of all the changes and updates they made on the 08 until after I bought it. I had considered buying the XT right after I saw one at the annual bike show but ended up waiting. When H-D pulled the plug, I was just happy to find a red XT at a great price and did not do any additional research. I am happy with what I have right now. Thanks! |

I don't really consider the 08 a "first" year anyhow. Most of the important parts are shared between the X and the XT so you already have two years worth of improvements. When Froggy has his fire sale I'd consider the XT for a spare, sans decals. |

Hmmm. Be it Homecoming, Buelltoberfest or the West Virginia Buell Ralley I have only seen Froggy on a XB except for one time when his CR was brand new. Now he may claim that he just needs the extra room for such a long trip or he needed room for his girlfriend. I'm not buying it. I think he secretly loves his XB's and for some reason doesn't want us to know it! |

The Blast: Cheap, reliable, easy to service, good handling, not fast, carbed, a fun bike to ride. YMMV Chris C |
