I have 15k+ on my 2008 now. We are planning a group 1000 mile trip over the Columbus day 3 day weekend.

Would any of you as a preventative measure change out any of the sensors or fuel filter? If I can avoid an issue on the trip I will.

I only have 5k on the plugs so they should be fine and I just put fresh Mobil 1 in it and changed the tires and bearing. New brakes pads going on it. Belt only had 6k miles on it, bringing a spare.

thanks in advance

Kag,
The only sensor I have needed to change in 40,000 miles is the 0xygen Sensor and that didn't start causing any problem until about 37,000 miles. I've never needed to mess with the fuel filter yet. Why change things just to be changing things??

Kag: Murphy's law!
Best to be safe rather than sorry.
IDK what to tell you. I'm not a "long distance" traveler these days.
My best advice would be to, "follow your instincts".
However, YMMMV.
you have the "big stuff" covered (bearings & belt)
No one ever suffered from having too many spares.
That's the best I have.(Sorry...)
Go ride 1000 miles, smile all the way & let us all know how it turned out for you.
Bon chance.

If you do have a breakdown let me know. I might be close by and would help you out. I live in Claremore, OK. Just moved here in July.
