I used it, knowing it would probably ruin my face shield after prolonged use... BUT.... face shields don't last that long with daily use anyways.. In the rain... it would improve my vision maybe...10-20%... on highway, I had to turn my head to the side to let the wind push the rain off often. Under 40mph it works ok... but you will still have to wipe it the rain away. I had Olympia gloves with a rubber wiper and still had to use that just as often. Rain will always be a pita.

"Stupid idea?" No it is just that it does not work all that well on a visor. You are just as well to keep the visor VERY clean. I wash mine with water and then it with eye glass cleaner and wipe over with a eye glass cloth. The visors use optic grade plastic and should be treated the same way for best results. I also polish it once in a while with aircraft grade polish. I get 5 years plus out of my visors and ride daily all year round.

Yeah, I'm with Uly man. I tried it but it did not have the same effect as it does on glass. Maybe the plastic is too porous or something, even the bottle says something about glass only. I think most of the plastic visor cleaner/polishers are meant to aid in water removal as well as their anti-fog properties anyhow. Just haven't found one to last more than about fifteen minutes into the ride. Plexus you say?

I've used it and it worked well for me (rain-x on a helmet visor).

I have plexus also, I should try that.

Is it just me, or has the cost of Plexus gone insanely high? I remember what I used to pay for it at my local bike shop. It must be triple the price now.

There are not many things out there that clean and repel as well.

I use this on my visor and my paintball goggles...
I think it works better than Plexus and costs much less.
