I am stunned. I reread his last post about heading to the salt beach. Following his saga all these days...then wham! Gone forever. Life is so incredibly temporary and Kevin's so tragic too. The Lord be with all who loved him and I pray Kevin is with the Lord. |

Kevin's sudden death has hit hard and I never met the man. I have thought about him a number of times since hearing the news last night and he was on my mind during a ride today. Seemed like a very pleasant, tolerant and nice guy from reading his posts. The series of posts from this evening, above, show that Kevin's death has hit a lot of us and made us reflect. It's just a da*n shame and it will be so hard on his loved ones. I understand the various thoughts, though differing as they are. It's such a tough loss. |

I have been following Radioman's thread over on ADVrider. He met Kevin just a couple weeks ago. I saw the news a couple days ago. RIP Kevin. |

When I 1st started flying at Aloha Airlines, I had the pleasure of flying several trips with Capt. Bob Schornsteimer....the pilot on flt 243 that came apart in mid-air. When asked I asked him about it(for the 1000th time I'm sure), his response to near death while doing what one loves was simple, brilliant, and unforgetable...."Eat dessert first" R.I.P Kevinaye |

Just a reminder, tomorrow, the 11th is the Memorial for Kevin in Whistler, Canada. If you feel so inclined, raise a glass in honor of his adventure spirit. He brought a lot of fellow Bueller's together trying to fix the problems with his Uly. I know I'm going to raise a glass or two, celebrating Kevin, the life I have and all that it has given me. Gone, but not forgotten. Thanks, Mike |

Thanks, we will plan to do the same. Although we never met him, he has been on our minds because we had a connection to him. Same bike, same dream trip, similar age. Our son had done a research project on Bolivia recently and when we mentioned this thread to him, he reminded us those roads were dangerous. It's very sad. I think we were all hoping for a happy ending. R.I.P. Kevinaye |

He's been on my mind too. I avidly followed his thread for the same reason as all you, my Buell comrades, did. I will strive to reach Tokyo next year on my Ulysses and when I do, I will post a tribute to Kev, as it was his exploits that convinced me to go on the Buell. |
