Anybody out there with the Palmer highway pegs figure out how to get the right side scoop back on?

I am guessing some surgery.

Of the ones I saw it looked like it took surgery. I had been thinking about getting the lower profile scoops from Trojan Horse in the hopes that those might play more nicely with the Palmer supports. I never found any information on someone who had tried this though and that whole project got pushed back do to funding. If you continue searching on the Palmer bracket you're bound to find the same modifications to the scoop that I saw. I'm sorry I didn't keep references to what I found to pass on. Good luck and let us know how everything works out.

I am sure I found some info on this too, but can't find anything in the archives. One of the rods for the Hwy pegs appears to exactly in the wrong place!!

The pegs are excellent though, so I will have to figure something out.

Here is the way i did this....I made a bracket and extended the downward arm forward. The spacer needs to be trimmed to about 1/3 of its length. I modified a galvanized u bolt flange for the bracket. This way you can use all three scoop attachment bolts. Send me a note if you want more info.

bracket 1

bracket 2

Hey Ronmold,

thanks for the pics. Job done. Maybe not as pretty as I would have liked but it works.

Chasaag. That would have been a great way to do it. If I had anything to try and make the extension. Has Strada seen your pics? It would be a good addition to his set up for anybody else buying the peg set up.

I am really excited to see this setup as I'm not energetic about cutting my right side scoop up but at 6'3" I have issues riding more than 120 miles with out getting off and stretching a bit. Very excited about getting the highway pegs.
