Not sure if this is an area of concern or not. Between 2500-3000 rpms there is a "cavitation" in the engine. It's the only way I can describe it. In that range the engine just isn't smooth. There is no such feeling in my 9, but it is essentially a different engine. Is this something I should have looked at? What should I look for? Other than a little extra vibration, tonal difference there is no adverse effect. |

I wonder if its the horn vibrating against the Fly screen your hearing/feeling? |

Check the primary chain tension. More often then not weird feelings and vibrations in the engine in my experiences have been the primary being too loose or too tight (my fault once) Bruce |

+1 on the primary chain. You may just be feeling the difference in the 12 and the 9 engine, but the chain is fairly easy to check and adjust and it can make a dramatic difference in the vibration levels. |

That's the way I was leaning, just wanted confirmation to ease any potential anxiety. The more I ride the Uly, the more likely I am to let the bolt go to a new home. |

Mine has always vibrated (badly?) in that rpm range. The engine is not happy there unless accelerating. |
