Well I am still a new Buell rider. So I have the tool kit for under the seat. However, I have read many people keep some sort of breaker bar and socket set under the seat, as well as an extra belt. Some suggestions on what kind of breaker bar/size and anything else that might be good. |

A box-end wrench of 7/8" will work with that hex adapter for the rear axle. If it was assembled with grease or anti-seize, the rear axle isn't that hard to break free (after you loosen the pinch bolt!) |

Look for the factory toolkits (the big ones) on ebay or from dealers... they were going pretty cheaply for a while. It's a really nice setup that tucks under the Uly seat if you are careful. |

I put together a toolkit from extra tools I had that matches the big kit thats available from dealers. I like the piece of mind it gives you. Someone I know broke down and claimed the AAA RV coverage would'nt cover towing the bike. anyone else heard that? |

AAA towed me twice with the RV endorsement. I was no further than 30 miles from home, though. |

You just have to make sure that you don't break down someplace without cell service. |

I'm with you, Johnboy. Two tows with the RV endorsement, or Premier Plan. A good cell ph., a good towing service, and a good credit card, the three necessities of touring on any motorcycle. |

I have the breaker and the socket under my seat. Not sure of the length, but it just barely fits so maybe 15" or so? It's come in real handy a couple of times. I can't figure out a way to also keep the spare belt under there, I keep that in my hardbag. Under the seat I have the toolkit, the blue bag that comes standard, the breaker bar, the socket, and a couple of tire irons. On the left side bag I have a nylon bag containing a gooey rope patch kit, the tools for the patch kit (for cleaning the hole and inserting the ropes),a 12V powered air compressor, a couple of nylon straps, some zip ties, some rope, the belt, and a first aid kit. I've been able to patch my tire twice on the road, and replace my belt, and get home. I used to ride a lot in the mountains in Utah, so there was no cell phone possibility and if you got stuck up there, you were good and stuck. Now that I'm in the Seattle area, it's probably overkill. I do not carry stuff that I cannot use. For example, I don't carry a set of spare bearings because I cannot imagine getting the bearings out of the tire with the tools I use. |

I use an aluminum pipe for a breaker bar. Fits over allen wrenches and a socket wrench. |
