Well... the Uly sold today - fortunately to a nice guy who appreciates what he now has. I'm sure he'll take good care of her. As he rode away and I savored the sound of the XB12 going thru the gears, moving up in the RPM range - like NO other - & I had a genuine pang of sadness...She was a great adventure machine. I hope all of you will welcome Casey Anderson (Seattle Wa) as you welcomed me 3+ years ago. The BWB is a fine bunch of folks, with a lot of hard earned wisdom. Couldnt link up with a better bunch of hooligans. Thanks for the memories. i'll stay in touch. jphish

Have Mr. Anderson check THIS out. There will be a couple of Ulys there (PNWUly & me so far). Trying to get a bunch for the Washington Back Country Discovery Route ride starting at the end of July.

John - Congrats and condolences. . . Just got back from Moab this a.m., had a feeling this thread was initiated by you - - glad you were able to make the transaction.

I'm sure the 800XC will help fill the void.

Hey Paul - glad you made it back from the canyon lands all in one piece! Yeah - the 800 will be a competent ride, but...not sure it will grow on me like Uly did. Of course, I won't have to wait 3 mos for a belt anymore either. Just gotta stay one step ahead of parts bin. Still think a regional parts net work / repository (like old B.E.E.R. concept) would really help reduce "down time". Ill let ya know when I take delivery of Tiger - should be next week...or so.
