I'm trying to find a good cover for my '07 Uly. The only thing I see is Buell city covers that cover only the top half of the bike and universal covers that cover the entire bike. I don't want to buy something that is designed to fit all, but actually doesn't fit anything if you know what I mean. Preferably a Buell cover that covers the entire bike. Has anyone bought a cover for your bike and if so what are your thoughts?

Are you keeping it indoors, under a roof, or open air?

Right now mine is open air, but I'm building a shed with a lean-to for the bikes.

I have to worry about cats on the seat, so I didn't like the Buell city cover at all. I'm currently using a Gold Wing cover I got from Wal-Mart. Black and Red box can't remember the name. It works no real complaints and it isn't leaking yet, but like you I'd rather have something fitted for the bike...
I like the Palmer cover but I don't think they ship it to the states =P

The city cover is not made to be used as a "garage". It is great for keeping stuff "out of sight, out of mind" and as a shade from the sun and bird droppings. It's not very water repellent, it barely handles a heavy dew.

I use mine a lot though when traveling. It goes on and off very quickly. Great for covering up your stuff when you stop for lunch etc.

I'm trying to find one that fits with all three bags on.
Isn't that Goldwing cover a little large?

Right now I don't even have the bags on it, cover just touches ground on all sides. I need to try it with the bags on it.

I have an old universal "Dresser" cover that I've used on a '95 BMW R1100R with bags and windshield that works great on my Uly.

I use the cover off my old Road King. Works great and really is not too big.

The Dowco cover that WM sold for a while for touring bikes (I think the box even said Gold Wing, Electra Glide and listed a few BMWs) will fit the Buell WITH all 3 of the bags on. If you remove the bags, it will go to the ground.

Its made from the silver nylon with the heat coating on the lower panels. I think it sold for around $20. No logos or anything on it.

I've got a Dowco large, and it fits snugly with the side cases on...haven't tried it with the top box. I originally wanted the XL, but the saleslady talked me into the L. Seems fine. I avoided buying one at the H-D dealer because of the frickin' logo all over it, and because I thought $100 was WAY too much. Turns out, the Dowco without the H-D logo is not too much cheaper. It's good quality, though.

What I REALLY want is a garage...sitting on the street under a cover is still hell on the wheels. All that sand, salt, grime...

Crazy idea. Park it inside a tent. Cheap as a cover. Once zipped up it is pretty well sealed from everything.

It sounds like the Dawco or Nelson covers are the way to go. I have the side bags and would prefer to always keep it in a garage, but you never know when you will have to park it outside or insight. I just moved out of my house and now live in an apartment, so the need to get it covered and be discreet is more important.
