Drive belt snapped on Friday night in the office parking lot.

Not a bad place to snap really. Left it there under the security cams for the night and trailered it back home on Saturday with a buddies trailer.

Changing the belt was easier than I thought, just followed the steps in the shop manual, and in about an hour I was done.

I put some silver anti-seize on the axel as indicated, and i smeared the middle part with some blue bearing grease, thats not in the manual but I figured it couldn't hurt.

My axle threads were really, REALLY cruddy. I cleaned then out with a very small screw driver before putting on the anti-seize.

How many miles on the belt? Do you ride a lot of gravel/off road? Wheelies, hard shifting, etc...?

Belt had 22,000km on it.

Including the 2,500km off-road last moth riding through Labrador.
