Just wondering if someone has the layout for the fuse box? XB12X. The fan has not been running and there has been an engine light on for a few days. I finally had some time to check the fuses, and one was blown. In the fuse block, (from Left side of bike), there are 2 10 amp fuses. The one closer to the front was blown. I changed it temporarily with the one next to it, and ran it for a while 5 minutes I think, and the engine light went out. Now, I don't know if the fuse that went into the fan space is more necessary than the fan, as I have to ride about an hour to get a new fuse? TIA Druelly |

If it's not printed on the fuse box cover, it's in the owner's manual. If you don't have one, you can download one at buell.com in the owner's section. |

Hugh, I checked in the 08 Uly owners manual linked at the top of the Main Uly screen, and did not find anything about fuses. Also it is not on the inside of the fuse cover. Thanks for the effort! Any other ideas? |

I would be surprised if all the XBs were not the same, at least for that year. (Message edited by panhead_dan on August 14, 2010) |

Hm. This looks an awful lot like a fuse box to me...with a legend: http://www.buell.com/om/99477-08Y_en/file-6.asp#hd topic000622 And it looks like the 10A next to the fan is brakelight / horn / exhaust valve. You need that one. |

At layout shown by RatBuell (ULY2010??)there're one SPARE 10A fuse and an other SPARE 15A on positions 12 & 11 respective. As owner manual of my ULY2006 indicates the positions are 1 & 2 respective. |

The link I posted is from the '08 manual, at the top of the BBD forum. The page is "electrical protection". Uly's changed in '08 when they went from DDFI-II to DDFI-III; all of the electrics changed at the same time. So yes, your '06 manual (and my '06 manual) will be different. |

My comment was not about the post of RatBuell, it was more intended to indicate Druelly and other help needing people, that there are SPARE fuses for this case and there is no need to leave a working circuit without fuse. |
