Dirt bikes are great fun for sure, and that's a good one. You gotta treat yourself every once in awhile. |

Whenever folks ask me what they should get as their first bike I tell them to get a dirt bike and learn how to fall down! Dirt bike experience really improves your street riding, I highly recommend it! Looks like you'll be having fun today Lars! |

hi guys, well - i did survive the first outing on the new aquired CRF450X.... the track was hard, dusty and very fast! my rear tyres was worn when i got there and got worst! slipping everywhere, but great fun! only fell off it once and that was at very slow speed when i just ran out of ground to put my foot down... here is another pics of the BEAST! more pics are here: http://s227.photobucket.com/albums/dd21/LarsG1974/ Honda%20CRF450X/ i also had my helmet cam and got some nice onboard footage which i will edit and post the link later... All in all a great day out and a little too hot!!! thx Lars |

I did something similar earlier this year. I bought a Suzuki DRZ400S. It was sure a lot easier than trying to turn the Uly into something that it is not. |

Judging from the pictures it wasn't wet railroad ties that made you go down. I just did something similiar, I am buying an 01 XR650L. I took the Uly to Deal's Gap this weekend and managed to scrape the saddlebags on the pavement. |

Lars, just thought I would share that I did the same thing, kind of.. LoL..! after riding a few single track USFS (United States Forestry Service) roads/trails, I went and bought myself a 2006 Suzuki DR 650 to keep my '09 Ully XT company ! Steve. (Message edited by WildMonkey on July 07, 2010) |

Wildmonkey...that is my set up too. A 2004 DR650 I dropped the gearing down on and my 09 X. There is an old geezer like me named Jesse at http://www.kientech.com/ that has a moto DR and dirt. He knows em real good. In a way they are like a Uly...simple and durable. Now to get one that runs on diesel... I sold my CRF250X and probably would not have if it was a 450. The 250 was dual-sported and just did not cut it for the road. The 450 would and it is a real woods bike compared to slug a bug DR 650. But I can make the DR fly in the woods...but not like a CRF450. |

If you get into DRs, you must visit this site:http://www.maximum-suzuki.com/forums It`s just like Badweb, great people. Jesse is full of knowledge, and a really nice guy. This is my dirt ride, tons of fun. I don`t bother riding dirt on my Uly, kinda painful.
