I've got a 2009 12X. I've installed the Erik Buell Racing race ECM with the Drummer calibration. I had to have my wife hold my front nut. I've installed a K&N filter. I've got the stock muffler and cable removed. I've done the TPS reset procedure (twist the grip 3 times). I've installed the Tuono mirrors. Now I'm just waiting for the Drummer SS to arrive. Patience, Ray. Patience.

For those of you who have done the same, what are your impressions? I had already installed the comfort kit, but never had the stock ECM changed.

I have 09X w/a K&N,Drummer,Erik Buell Racing ECM..I've had it now for about 1,000 miles,I think it runs great,it still has some minor surging around 3,000rpms,and a minor flat area around 4,500rpms,but I noticed that goes away when the ecm has done a learn..I like it and feel it's worth the money..No decel popping either..Happy trails!!....Tim

TPS is just setting a physical zero in sync with an electrical zero. The muffler will have no effect on that.

Idaho -
Did you get the Erik Buell Racing ECM tuned specifically for the Drummer? Or were you an early adopter and got the standard race ECM?

I finally received the Drummer SS muffler today. I also bought the chin spoiler kit. While mounting the kit, I noticed the left bracket has two holes that mount under the side stand. But my side stand has three bolts. So if I mount it this way, the 3rd bolt will have a gap between the side stand frame and the bike frame. That can't be ok. I think it needs some sort of spacer to fill that area. Has anyone else run into this? If so, what was your solution? I sent a note to Kevin to get his input as well.

Of course, the muffler didn't come with instructions that I could find in the box. So I went ahead and mounted the muffler. When I ran into this issue, I went online and found mounting instructions on the KDFab website that said to mount the bracket before the muffler. Grrrr. But that still leaves the issue of the 2 bolt bracket and the 3 bolt side stand.
