I predict there will be a lot of nostalgia for Buells in the motorcycle press in the coming years. I don't know why, but I just get the feeling all the writers that either ignored Buells, slammed Buells, or said they weren't "quite there yet" will pepper their columns with references to "those great old Buells", and "what America needs is another Buell", and "these new bikes are great, but they lack the character and blah-blah-blah of the old Buells."

I will punch the magazine when I read that.

Just got the new issue of Cycle World - big features on the "demise" of Buell, including Peter Egan's visit to the sell-off. Haven't read anything yet, but they do a review of the Barracuda. In the "era" of Palin, it would be tough to ride a bike that people would call "Sarah".
