Well.. with Buell's untimely demise I decided I better find a top case to go with my side cases. I took off with a part number I found here on BadWeb 92031-06Y . I called my dealer and they told me they had one in stock at another store. I jumped in my truck the next morning to make sure this was the kit I was looking for and possibly purchase one. I arrived bright and early with my Buell fleece on and started looking at the drastically slashed prices. After a few minutes a salesmen approached me and asked if he could help. We talked a minute about Buell and I finally told him I was curious if they had a top case in stock and gave him the part number. He walked over and punched it in and informed me that the number was obsolete. (I knew that.) He then said that they didn't show one in HD Net but the other Quick Look Up showed one. Next they went digging in their inventory and a parts guy comes back saying "We don't have that number up there but we have another box that looks like cases up there with a different number. The salesmen quickly told him to bring it out.

The box they opened up WAS a top case kit but was part of an entire kit that they had. I joked that they probably would not want to break apart an entire 3 bag kit and thought it was a lost cause. To my surprise they did not just break the kit apart, they offered it to me at 20% off! I quickly accepted. They then asked what key I had and proceeded to make sure they didn't have any other bags with the lock cylinder I needed. Way above and beyond anything I could hope for.

Below is what I purchased along with all of the part numbers for those that may try to piece a top case together or need parts for their existing top case.

Also know that there are about 9 showing in HD inventory in the quick look up parts system in the US so if someone is looking ... call around! Also do not be afraid to ask if they will break up existing 3 bag kits sitting in inventory at this point.

That link will take you to the rest of the pictures which are too big to post but large enough to read HD part numbers for the brackets and hardware kit.

Note that the brackets and hardware can be purchased and ANY Hepco Becker case will fit if you have to go this route which is an option and very competitive with aftermarket racks and adapters that would be required to put a HB case that matches the Buell cases on your Uly.

Now to point this thing into the wind and see what's just behind the horizon!

Which part of the rack is 92308-05Y? I found one of those, but 92050-05Y doesn't show up on any of the sites I tried. I have the top case, just need some brackets.

10 Bracket, mounting, top case, upper M0261.1AU - this is the main bracket the case snaps into

11 Bracket, mounting, top case, lower 92308-05Y - this is the crossbrace that goes under the tail section

The 92050 number is obsolete, supersedes to the M0261 number.

Sweet deal.

I tried to get my local dealer to break up a kit to no avail.

I think the fact that the individual I dealt with is the general manager and after an unfortunate event where my new bike was dropped at the dealership, and he was the person I dealt with. I had owned my Uly for 3 weeks and was in for the 1000 mile service and it was dropped bringing it out to me. I can't say if that was the only reason or the fact that the kit has an 06 inventory date tag on it, either way I was glad to have one.
