- tends to back itself down the driveway, as if saying "hurry your a&& up or I'll leave without ya". - tends to pull front wheel from ground at green lights, especially with 2 up. - attracts unnecessary attention at gas stations and ferrys; " Is that a German bike?" - produces fear and anxiety from most HD enthusiasts - 'What? that's a Harley engine? I like it very much. Any Buell riders in South Alabama? |

Even after years of tweaking some of us are still experiencing these problems. They can be impossible to resolve. I have another problem where the bike will somehow make me just go and sit on it or stare at it for a while if I don't have time or need for an actual ride. |

Another issue I've discovered is the permanent cramping of my cheeks from grinning after experiencing any of the aforementioned issues. I'm currently seeking treatment for it, but I can't find a credible doctor who'll treat it. My biggest question is this: When will Buell Motor Company address these issues, which are clearly defects and must be resolved post-haste!

Web... Glad to hear you enjoy the bike. I too suffer from the same afflictions. I'm from LA (you know what I mean) too, but am presently in Ft. Sill, OK until November. Where exactly are you located? |

Weekendwarrior- he looks to be in Daphne, over by Mobile. I'm in Enterprise. There's getting to be quite a few Buellers here at Fort Rucker also. Used to be I would NEVER see another Buell but now I see one almost everyday. |

I have 2 major issues: When playing in the twisties I'll come out of a turn, drifting to the outside and rolling on the throttle to the point of WOT and BAM, right into the rev limiter!! I hate that! Then there is the problem of the steering bearings having a mind of their own. It always happens when the weather is just perfect for riding. I'm trying to make the exit at my place of employment and the bike will not let me. I have to use all my strength to get the damn thing to turn. It's a real PITA! A couple of times the bike won! |

Odie, Good to hear you're so close. I'm in Andalusia, but have relatives in Enterprise (Riley Construction/Homebuilders) and others in Dothan. When I get back we have to meet up. You the same Odie that does the pipes? |

I think my Uly is causing me mental problems. Here's why: After every ride - from long adventurous ones to short blasts around town - I pull in back at home, dismount, and just stare at it. Sometimes I go inside the house, get my gear off, pour a drink, and just sit on the front stoop and examine every angle, every component, all the mud collected on the fenders, and the mesmerizing diagonal slash of the frame. I just sit there, smiling and staring. Smiling and staring. I think this bike is making me crazy! |

I had to start taking ati-depressents because there are only so many hours in the day to ride my Uly and I have to work for eight of them, and sleep for at least six...I'm thinking if cutting back on the sleep thing just a little. |

The defect is not with my Uly but with my wife,I sit in the garage half the night tinkering and looking at my bike and she just gets mad and hauls my sleeping bag out to me and says-you might as well live out here. |

My problem is that my permagrin is wearing out the cheek pads in my helmet. |
