Treadmarks or anyone else with a copy of the instructions for the Square idle, can you please provide me with a copy/link? I have tried searching Badweb to no avail. My bike is all apart with the engine tilted. It would like to do the Square Idle as I put it back together. Thanks for your help.

if your going to do some tuning and messing with the maps check out this thread. http://www.buelletinboard.com/forums/showthread.ph p?t=5176&page=3
Great info and makes the bike run like it should. It's a long read but has allot more info than the basic tuning guide. It can get involved and take up a weekend to read and tune. Well worth the time.

Jj,

My square idle mod was very useful in controlling idle and low speed driveability issues in it's time. It's time is over though. When I came up with this mod, we only had access to ECMSpy version 1. It would only allow modding one block of four cells at a time. Now ECMspy will let you modify each cell individually so there is no longer a realistic need for the square idle.

Like Rotor said, check out some of the ECMSpy threads on Buelletinboard. Xopti (Mike) and a few others there can help resolve just about any issue on 06-early 08 buell ECMs.

Good luck,

Terry

Thanks for the help!. I will research this information as you suggest. My bike has always ran well, but could be a little smoother at low speeds. I have my ECMspy and cable all ready to go. Just got my header and muffler back from the Ceramic coating place. They talked me into a semi gloss grey that seems to match the color of the frame quite well. It won't look flashy but it won't look out of place ether. Hope to be running smooth and cool this spring!
