OK, I know folks have been using the position marker wire to fire an HID ballast, but has anyone used it to run their stock incandescent low beam bulb? I've been looking at the wiring diagrams (which only show color and not gauge) trying to figure out the best, easiest way to keep the low beam on when I go to high beam. Stock lights, stock bulbs, just wanna change that one aspect. Looking at it, there's no easy way to take the flash-to-pass feature and transfer it to the highbeam switch (my flash-to-pass just *adds* the high to the low for as long as I have the button pressed). And the diagrams don't show which of the wires go to which of the buttons in the switch housing, just that they all go in there....somewhere.

If anyone's using the position wiring to power their low beam, I'd like to hear how it's going - any wire degradation or circuit problems? Or is it all the same gauge and of sufficient amperage to run a "real" light bulb as opposed to the 4w position light?

I had it set up that way BEFORE I went HID. There is a good link showing all the details around here somewhere, but I haven't found it yet.

Not the exact one I was looking for, but it will do....

Sweet, thanks. I guess worst case, I lose the wiring for the position light and just swap back to OEM wiring...

I ended up not being able to get them to seat back in good enough so the low beam would start to shut off intermittently. I ended up cutting the end off and replacing it. No big deal was just a mess up on my end. I really like it now that it has been done, and I can ge them to stay plugged in good.
