Thought I'd stop in and say hi. Looks like I'm not the only one who loves the ulysses! I've got the cooler Orange version, stock 07 with 5000 miles. Will be riding it to Phoenix this weekend to help my brother move. It's 1500 miles from my Pella home, and I can't think of a better bike to do it on!

you rock. do you mean Iowa? Ride safe, and take rain gear and riding shorts for under your pants.

Before you leave, go to the topics section of this board and find the BRAN thread. It has a list of phone numbers of people you can call if you have problems along the way.

Enjoy your trip!

Yes, Iowa. I'm looking forward to going through Flagstaff, I hear it's nicer to look at than our corn. Thanks for the good luck wishes, should be fun!

Flagstaff is great, at least if you make the 60 mile detour up to see the Grand Canyon.

Your brother must have really small furniture. I usually need a truck when I move.

Welcome to the "most fun bike you will own" board. Hope you have a bunch of fun miles, and corners. I'm just sorry you didn't get the Faster black model. Have fun ride safe.

If your coming into AZ along I-40 and your heading to Phoenix, you would do well to turn off in Holbrook and take 377 down to 260 to Payson, then take 87 into Phoenix.
Much better roads, more trees, and spectacular scenery.
I-40 and I-17 will just bore you and wear out the centers of your tires!!!

Dustmann, you are going to love it! Shame about the colour but we all have challenges in life.

Have a safe trip and post some pics for us to share the fun!

Bartimus - I wish I'd have known that about 4 days ago! We ended up going through flagstaff again on the way home. Scenery was beautiful, Sedona was cool and the trip through Jerome and Prescott had some fun roads, if not a bit bumpy.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, I just turned over 8000 as I got home. Stuck a new Scorpion Sync on before leaving @ 5000. It's such a shame to put 3000 miles of Interstate on a new tire : (, but I had a lot of fun, just wish I had more time for some better roads!
