I thought that would get someones attention. I know that fuel injection doesn't vapor lock, however that is just how my 06 is acting when it gets hot. Usually it is after cruising at low speeds through a parking lot, through town going from light to light, or out on a twisty road where I am pushing the limits of grip. What happens is when I "get on it" it skips and misses. More often than not it happens when I am taking off from a light or merging with traffic, but the scariest is when I roll on to pass a cage but it starts missing at high rpm's right when I am next to a car. Any help is appreciated! |

Sounds more like the "skip spark" mode, than a fuel problem. Mine, also '06, has gone into skip spark mode under similar conditions. Two possible reasons: 1. the engine is too hot and the ECM has put it into preservation mode. 2. the head temp sensor is out of spec. |

bad ignition coil sounds like to me. Does it run ok cold but then warms up turn bad all of the sudden? Also higher rpms require more voltage so she'll begin to break up and lose power (Message edited by blk_uly on August 31, 2008) |

Blk_uly, that is exactly what it does, but not when it warms up, when it gets hot. I'll look at the coil. Thanks for the help |
