I saw the slower Orange variant of the Uly riding through Little Elm, TX last night. The perp had on a grey and orange jacket and full face helmet. If you are on here and local.... are ya up for a ride this weekend? Kind of jones'n for a ride with another Buell. |

There were three of us, two orange (slow version) and my 08 faster red. we were at a barbeque / get together for Mr. Cob, who's touring the US on a Ural. the slow orange ones belong to Slipperypete, from Dallas and Davev from Lewisville. If you want to know what Mr. Cob is up to, check this out; http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35 4338 |

Very nice.... I did the meet n greet thing a while back when Kaneman on ADV was traveling the US. Good stuff and good people. So you locals hang out and ride on any given board (sporttwin,TWT, etc_. I run down to Motopia Cafe on Sundays to look for pic up rides. I would love to run some local roads with a pack of Uly's. |

Was shocked (shocked, I say!) to see another of the faster orange ones on Hwy 24, headed to the on ramp to Hwy 13 south in Oakland about a week ago while driving with wife in the car. Damn those are bad looking bikes! Anyone here there? |

I passed a Uly on I-40 just after I crossed from TN into AR on Friday. One of you all? |

Went to Laguna Seca Saturday, must have saw 5000 different motorcycles. I didn't see ONE other uly. Not even one. (Not counting the Buell tent). Arkaybee, I live in your area (orange Uly too) wasn't me on 24 though. I did see my first Orange Uly on the road though a couple of weeks ago on H1 in Oahu. Any Badweb Uly guys in Oahu?? |

What I think is really cool is when you're out in the middle of nowhere, you see another tall-ass bike approaching from the other direction, you notice the right-side headlight, and then both of you as you pass recognize it's a Uly. That's always good for more than the usual wave gesture, I usually give a high closed fist power salute! |

I think all Uly sightings should have their own thread! I saw a Uly in Whitebread City, USA (AKA Reston, VA) last week during rush hour and posted a thread, but, sadly, the dude hasn't responded. I wonder if he even knows there's an incredible online forum for him. Xbimmer, you are so right. When I see a Buell of any model I tend to go a little overboard with my wave, more like a fist pump and a "You the man!" finger point. Hell, I tend to get good waves from anything that resembles a dualsport - anyone riding anything sporty with bags on it gives me a big wave. That's cool. We all understand that. Also, where do you mount your deer alerts (though I know many believe they don't work)? (Message edited by hooper on July 21, 2008) |

Also, where do you mount your deer alerts (though I know many believe they don't work)? Stuck to the flats on the bottom of the hand guards, oriented straight forward. Widest possible point and also unobtrusive. I don't care what others believe, I've been using them for 20 years. It's better to see an ignorant Bambi twitching its ears at you from the side of the road than having it just waltz on out in front of you... Slowride, good idea for a thread. Maybe it should be a stickie? Kind of jones'n for a ride with another Buell. American Sport Bike puts on a BBQ annually in Sept. There is NOTHING like riding with a couple dozen Buells! Al and Joanne and Co. put on a great event. Makes me forget about stators and wheel bearings and heck yes I do ride something different! |

Saw my first other Buell today since I bought my bike in April - someone wearing a tshirt and shorts on what looked like an older Lightning in Silver Spring. |

Bob It's you!? Do you see me looking at you as you pass by? Haha. I don't get but a quick glance because of traffic. It took me a couple tries to figure out what you were riding. Maybe we could meet up sometime. I haven't been riding for almost a month now because the dealer screwed my bike up.........but I still look for you in the mornings. Haven't seen you lately though.... what time do you usually come through? |

Pulled into Hotchkiss CO yesterday for a burger and look there is five or was it six factor Buells with there riders getting ready to head out so I pull in shutdown to that familiar sound that says Hey I'm a Buell rider. One would think that I would have at least received a greeting of some sort but no. No hello, no nothing. I can only speculate as why factor bikes and I suppose riders in the middle of no where would not show a little brotherhood. At least the HD guy's were friendly. |

Yo DJM, I live in Silver Spring, MD too, near Wheaton. I'll keep an eye out for the only red Uly I'll probably ever see. You can usually find me roaring around the farms and horse country of northern MD, or parked in front of some of my favorite joints in Silver Sprung (Royal Mile? Jackie's?). Mine is the black X with the oddly off-center front end (thanks to Bambi on Rt. 28). |

Hooper - too funny. I grew up in Wheaton, and live now in Four Corners. Next time you are near Discovery in Silver Sprung, look for a red XT, as we all know is the fastest color. I ride it to work everyday rain or shine. I am usually out Saturday in Northern MD or Howard County. I'll keep an eye out for ya. (Message edited by Djm on July 29, 2008) |

Were you at the Dragon today? Four Uly's at around 2:00. Me, Orangeulius, a Uly rider from Knoxville on an orange one, who is un-named on BadWeB as of yet. Also a Black one that was two up, we didn't get to see the riders 'cause one of us had a Saturday schedule thing. |
