Even from Switzerland I can see that not all dealers are Buell friendly or even friendly. Same here only more so. I am in the US for 3 weeks soon. Traveling to Central Chicago, South Seattle and LA (Ventura). I want to buy some parts for my XB12X when I am there. The idea is to order them ahead and pick them up from a Buell friendly dealer in one of these locations. Can someone tip me off for a good dealer in one of these towns, I would appreciate it. Thanks Dick |

I'm still waiting for a Uly drive belt I ordered from Chicago H-D over three weeks ago (and it was not a back ordered part), so I would not recommend ordering anything from them. I initially ordered from them because of the 20% discount.......not worth it if your parts never arrive. (Message edited by prowler on July 22, 2008) |

Yeah..., I second the opinion on Chicago H-D. I'm also in the 3-week+ hold for accessories that are not on back order. However..., now that I actually need a part (that is not an accessory), I'm trying to contact Las Vegas H-D, the company I bought the bike from, and their parts department won't answer their phones, haven't returned voice mails, and won't reply to online submissions. I am beginning to think this is the way all H-D dealerships treat their customers?!?! I think I'm just frustrated because I need the part to ride, and I'm getting impatient... Uke's in Kenosha has never let me down. They usually have to order the parts, but they arrive within a week. www.ukeshd.com What parts are you looking for? Kenosha is about 50 miles north of Chicago. I just made a trip to Seattle from the Chicago area. What route are you planning to take? Bob |

You could order from American Sport Bike and have the stuff shipped to your hotel or other lodging. Or, drive down to Vista, CA., an pick them up in person... |

Try the Buell parts guys at Glendale HD/Buell - ask for Josh or Serge (they're both Buell owners/riders) Glendale is about a 2 hour drive from Ventura though. Don't know if that's too far. |
