I posted in a recent wheel bearing problem thread that I'd been in contact with a rep who's contacted NTN for pricing on 6006/6005LU seals for our bikes.

I'm one of the "regreasers", and my thinking is that I would feel better about replacing the outer seals when doing my inspection/greasing than straightening out and cleaning a used seal for replacement.

So far as info I've been told the rear seals can be had for $4.52 each, which the rep even said was a bit steep and minimum orders are 70 seals. I'm pretty sure that can be negotiated but I'm waiting for the 6005LU seal price.

Just fishing for interest here. Personally I was hoping for $1-2 apiece but peace of mind for every 5-10k miles seems reasonable to me for even $5 each.

Just throwing it out there!

Somebody would be going out on a limb at $300+ for the initial order! It might take a while to use 70 by one's self, lol.

Finally have received a cost for the 6005 LU front wheel seals, $4.52 ea like the rears but with a wait of 3-6 months since they would ship from Japan...

Must be ordered in huge bulk amounts also. Not exactly so cost effective now at least from the source I was dealing with.

Think I'll work in reverse, looking for a non-stock bearing with seals that are available... Oh well.
