I just installed A standard Drummer yesterday, With A K&N air filter, stock ECM. Am I going to have any problems with the stock ECM running to lean or any other problems? By the way the Drummer sounds kick a A$$ And it seams to be running as good probably even better than before, Although I just wanted it for the sound because the bike was running plenty good for me like it was before. I just didn't like the sound I do now! The bike is A 2007 ULY. 10000 Miles on it.

the ECM via the AFV will adjust to give you the proper fuel ratio (w/in its pre-set parameters) - the reason folks like to use a custom EEPROM or a race ECM is that the fuel maps (among other things) are different and can take advantage of a freer flowing exh. sys.

you won't run too lean and hurt the engine if that's what you're getting at. the stock ECM has built-in safeguards (skip fire for example) to make sure that won't happen.

call kevin, if you're concerned.

I have the drummer with stock ECM and stock filter on my XB12SS. It is perfectly fine. I will be swapping in my Race ECM soon along with a uber filter and open airbox kit.
