Does decel popping harm the engine in any way?

I get a little when it's cold. I get less as the bike warms up.

Minor popping shouldn't hurt anything. Major backfires are no good.

What do backfires (not decel popping) do to the engine? Is this caused by too much fuel and a bigger than normal explosion?

popping baaadd

actually, it is unburnt fuel making contact with cool air, then continuing the combustion process inside your pipes/can. Free flowing pipes seem to make it louder, but we had it in our stock cans too. This excess fuel is used to cool the engine during decelleration. Not enough fuell in the decel tables can lead to a hot engine.

That being said, I still hate it. It makes an otherwise great sounding engine sound like sheit.

Why don't you fill your gas tank with all that gas?
