if your browser just takes you to their home page, follow this path; Sport-Touring.Net > The Open Road > General Sport-Touring Discussion > I'm home from test ride on a Buell Ulysses |

Most of them aren't praising the bike. It seems more has to do with them complaining about the heat and them being air cooled. The one idiot even basically stated that the engine gets dangerously hot. Too bad air-cooling has sufficed for many decades...DURRRRRRRRRRRRR. Somebody wipe the drool off of his lip. |

Sorry about the short link, I should have checked it before I posted. On the buell part of the site there is a post of how he was impressed that Eric Buell personally pitched the bikes and that he has not seen any other manufacture do that and that impressed him |

Thanx, Ironhead1977. I went to the link you provided and read about the demo ride. Interesting. I've owned my 06 Uly for 5 days, commute with it daily and have noticed "some" heat, but have an '83 Shovelhead and have the same heat emanating from the engine/exhaust. The key is to plan your ride to where you are not stopped long. Sometimes you have to take the longer commute to avoid stalled traffic. What the heck, the ride IS the adventure, not the destination. Back to my Uly. What a ride. My previous dual-sport was an 04 DL1000. It was almost too smooth of a ride. Fun, but my Uly is certified awesome FUN, ballsy, with that noticable lumpity, lump. This is one COOL site. Glad I found it. So much honest feedback and "I've done it" knowledge. |
