Damn, Sanchez... what the hell. Don't you hate when the first thing you hear when you wake up is, "The ambulance is on the way"? Heal up good, Matt... you too Nugget. |

man i can't believe it i just had left you guys a few minutes before. i found out about it when i got to the office in the morn. mountainrider told me you had fallen what a bummer. i hope you heal fast. did your camera gear get wrecked also? i know it was a concern of yours in the morning when we started riding. at least you didn't have to get flown out with two broken vertebrae and a pelvis like that other guy on 60. |

Hope to drop her off at the barn Thursday evening. Won't need immediate attention, the budget requires effective cost analysis and an efficient time line before adequate financial resources can be justified. Or maybe all she needs is quality time with New12R...Buell Whisperer! |

Thanks again for all the kind wishes, everyone. I'm sure Kdan's prayers will be the most effective of all. Dave/Ann, you have an awesome family, and I really enjoyed staying with you. If anyone's free on Thursday, Mike's heading up to Blairsville to retrieve the Nugget. Glitch took me to the orthopedist this morning and dropped me off at home. I strive for excellence in all things, and breaking my ankle is no exception. I really broke the hell out of it! I go in next week on Wednesday for surgery and a metal plate. For now they just put me in a temporary plaster cast. The doc says I have to stay in bed with my foot elevated for the next two weeks. I'm only allowed to get up to put food in or take it back out. I'm getting lots of support from my friends at work, too, and I have a steady supply of food inbound. It looks like I won't have to stress out about work, either. I didn't realize this until I spoke with my boss this afternoon, but I can get up to 12 weeks of paid time off for short term disability. So things are looking up for at least the next couple of hours when my latest Loritab wears off. |

Every cloud has a silver lining, and Sunday's is some really good photos. Fran is a really photogenic rider: Despite all his attempts at being blurry, I got some good ones of Dave too: And Ann too: Charlie looked great as usual: Hooverrider, riding his Hoover: The last ride of the Nugget, courtesy of Glitch: Here's a link to the full album and lots more pictures: http://www.incorrect.org/coppermine/thumbnails.php ?album=19 |

Hey Sanchez, you've got my number, so if you need anything I'm a phone call away. I think I'll even be able to navigate your neighborhood Dave/Ann, you have an awesome family, and I really enjoyed staying with you. Thanks! I'm beaming with pride! Seriously. As I've said, you're welcome here any time. Rest when you can, and don't hesitate to call. |

Sanchez, good news about the job! I am sure that relieves a lot of stress on you. Healing is much easier when you don't have to worry about rushing it. On another job note... Anyone know of any places in the ATL that are looking for a somewhat junior C++ programmer with a test engineering background? Or, do any of you folks know anything bout Meggitt Defense Systems/FATS Caswell? These folks engineer target systems for FATS (Fire Arms Training Systems) training. They sound like a place I want to work.... Firearms and engineering... two great things that go great together! Or if none of that pans out, I could always talk to Clown about selling bikes for him! My wife's boss is moving to the Gwinnett area to oversee several hospitals, and she is going to ask him to take her along. So we may possibly be moving back to Hotlanta in the not too distant future!! (Message edited by RATyson on April 25, 2007) |

You don't know how bad I want to. I have met more folks that I would rather ride with in Georgia over the last two years than I have found here in Huntsvegas! Plus, that is where our family is. |

Sanchez, Give me a call later (3 ish) I'll be in court most of the day. Tomorrow looks good for picking up the nugget. I'm a early bird.... Ratyson, FATS is good company. I did some work for them a few years ago. Everyone seemed to enjoy their job. Good luck.. |

Ratyson, I was a FATS instructor in the Marine Corp. Great system! I don't know anything about the law enforcement systems or civilian stuff. Pretty f***king awesome things they can make it do. Outstanding training tool and should be used more than it is now. I actually answered to the Regional Director for almost 2 years. They are all laid back and low stress. Hell, even the maintenece guys were cool. I would love to have a job working for them! Smokescreen |

Oh yeah, The HQ here in GA is a firearm conditioning factory. They refurbish all of the military hardware and send it back. I imagine it's not what you think it is. Yes it's firearms, no they aren't real. (well, for the most part, some of them are just a few parts from shooting bullets) It's like working with big air guns. The cords killed the illusion for me, but they were developing remote systems for individual users. I haven't looked into it since I got out. Let me know if you want more information, I'll see what I can do. Smokescreen |
